Hotel itself is a very authentic old building, very nice. Rooms are great, pool is very very nice! Dinner on the terras was good, again with the amazing views. Stunning little house in a beautiful little village with the view of the mountains. The room was very comfortable as well as the bathroom. Amenities were provided. The roof terrace was amazing. Due to the weather we couldn't enjoy it for longer but it would be so much fun. The breakfast is fresh and bread is delicious. I'd love to come back for the pizza dinner. We were not aware of that so we came over full and really regretted that we had no space for the home made pizza. Definitely would love to come back.

Amazing place to stay at! Wonderful location, quiet street in a quiet village. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and lovely view from the balcony. Parking is in walkable distance, just make sure you pay attention of the signs (we parked at the nearby city parking that turns into a market every Monday, our car got towed, but our host helped us a lot getting it back asap and even shredded the fee we should have paid to the police, it was a fun story, but better and cheaper avoiding it). Host is super helpful and responsive!

The apartment was wonderful with all the amenities you could possibly need. The hostess was friendly and helpful. There is a Dia and some shops nearby if you want to prepare a light dinner or breakfast and you can find a space to park your car easily. The North entrance of the Caminito is 35' so it's a super convenient place to stay. We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Rosa.

The apartment is part of a camping ground. It's near the Caminito del rey and the lake. The place is wonderful, peaceful, clean and in the nature. It's recommendable for people that seek somewhere to do sports and relax. Not suitable for party people. The staff was great and helpful.

Beautiful Spanish town with lots of tiny back streets to walk with whitewashed houses. You can walk to the 9th century Arab castle that is set on the hillside and overlooks the town. It is currently undergoing restoration. Plenty of coffee shops and places to eat. Alora has a chill vibe with friendly people. We ate at a local restaurant La Taberna del Caminito, enjoyed the Tapas and pork dishes and the prices were reasonable.

Ardales was a surprise highlight of our trip.

Ardales was a surprise highlight of our trip. We stayed to visit the Caminito del Rey but the town itself is lovely - a very pretty and steep white village. Parking is easy. We missed the caves nearby but they sounded cool. There is a nice lake which is near the entrance to Caminito del Rey where you can bathe and hire pedalos and canoes. We went in the church at the top of the hill and a really nice man was there to tell us the interesting history of Ardales - it was a great opportunity to practice our Spanish! We didn’t eat in the restaurants, they looked quite basic but had a lively feel with locals sitting out in the evening. A really nice atmosphere.

Carratraca is a typical small village near the mountains at 46 km from Malaga and the sea. It used to be famous for its thermal facilities and has a 5* luxe hotel but unfortunately closed after COVID.. There are 2 local supermarkets, 2 restaurants and a café. From Carratraca there are several beautiful walkings you can make in the woods. And El Chorro where the famous Camininto del Rey starts, is only 11km away..

A typical Andalusia white village, great facilities including shops, restaurants, banks, a castle with some wonderful walks. Be aware the train station is on the outskirts of the village. We have been coming to Alora for over 15 years and continue to enjoy the village & sounding area.

Great for a short stay & exploring the mountains. All amenities available on the very pretty Main Street, inc restaurants/ cafes/ ice cream parlour, pharmacy & other shops. Plenty of on street parking around. You may struggle in Ardales if you had mobility issues.

Easy to get the train to El Chorro - I actually missed the stop as I was looking at google maps and the tunnels delayed reception! LOL The views from my accommodation were amazing. Both on sunny days and when the clouds came down with rain. The hotel and train station were very close to my accommodation - but (note to self!) travel light. the roads and stairs do not make for easy movement of big cases! El Chorro is a magical place.

It has stunning views and is very Spanish. It's not really a tourist hot spot, so there are far more locals than visitors, which in my opinion is very welcome. Good mixture of bars and restaurants, shops and supermarkets. Close to stunning walks and hikes.

Lovely accommodation, perfectly located for our trip to Caminito del Rey. The Caminito is definitely a must for a visit to the area. Amazing gorge hike with spring flowers everywhere. Dizzying views of the gorge and river bed. We saw lots of birds of prey and an otter plus wild goats. If we return we’d be interested in seeing some of the local caves. We ran out of time and some are open only at specific times.
