What an incredible experience!! I have been to Jaz Elite Asteria last week and we are amazed and positively surprised about the level of service while the hotel is still in the soft opening, so what does that mean for the future?! It started at the front with the contact with Hussam to coordinate in which room we would like to stay. Upon arrival we were immediately offered a cold towel and fresh juice so we felt welcome right away. After a short introduction we also got to know Mrs. Messaouda and that was a pleasure, because she was able to do a lot for us, including discussing the a la carte restaurants. Sometimes it is the little things that matter, so an ice cream by the pool or a cloth for cleaning, everything was possible! I can be brief about the food: both the buffet (morning, afternoon and evening) and the 5 a la carte restaurants are incredible in terms of possibilities, taste and variety!! We were so pleased with our wonderful week that I immediately spoke to Mrs. Messaouda about the possibilities of coming back with my family, so I would definitely recommend going to this hotel!!

The room was exactly as in the pictures, spacious and very clean. Walking from terase to the pool and straight to the lagune beach was perfect. Staff was very friendly and service fast and impeccable. Food was delicious and even though we only had breakfast included in the room rate we did not feel this as a downside (good variety to choose from).

It was our very first time at the Royal Makadi Sunrise Resort and the experience has simply been exceptional. It started with the reservation and the communication with the hotel has been very reactive and fluide. Our requests for the room was respected and the entire team is super efficient to make the check in super fast. The entire complex is very well managed. The team (reception, restaurant, beach, maintenance etc...) is super friendly and customer oriented. To be frank this is not the style we were used to in Egypt, and it was really impressive. Choice of restaurant (buffet or à la carte) is really great. Unique (tiny) comment -> the online booking system for the restaurant is working randomly but customer service was always ready to help. To be super "peaky", tennis courts may open a bit earlier than 8 AM. When things are easy, no need to make them complicated -> we are super happy with our stay and are clearly envisaging to come back in the near future.

We had an awesome holiday in the Desert Rose Resort, and there are several reasons for that. The wonderful garden, relaxing pools, always clean and comfortable room, the restaurants, diverse food, plenty of choice and last but not least: all staff has been top, the service was exceptional. Everyone went above and beyond to make us and all guests feel welcome and satisfied. Lovely people with smile on their faces, very attentive, it was truly heartwarming! I wish I could remember all of you Guys' names, but huge thanks to Helmy and Anita at Guest Relations, Arafat and Mona at Spa, Sandy at Reception, the Gentleman who guarded us at block 2000, the gardeners, room cleaners, Servers in Palm, Blue Lagoon, Sandbar, Sunset and Tropicana bars, Il Delfino, Fattoosh, Ranchero restaurants, and of course Club Soda staff where we spent most of our evenings. They all took great care of us. Thank you for the truly memorable vacation!

The resort is huge, has everything you need for an amazing holiday. The food is delicious and always fresh, all areas are very clean and the bedrooms have a fantastic view to the pool and the sea. The animation never stops throughout the day, and the night shows in the resort’s own amphitheater are spectacular, different every night. With the 2 private beaches and water park it makes Seagull resort the best choice to stay in Hurghada. The Alaya hotel guests has a private beach area at Coraya...

The Alaya hotel guests has a private beach area at Coraya bay, my husband and I were given a lift there by a golf cart. Alaya staff greeted us at the beach area ,attending to our needs. providing beach chairs, umbrella and bar service . The swimming are is great, water is clean and warm. Snorkeling and scuba diving is available. I did snorkel and it was a great experience.

Port Ghalib is worth a visit, outside of the AI Hotels. Nice bars, good restaurants and friendly people. On Saturdays there is now a Cruiseship visiting Port Ghalib, hopefully the effects on the reef etc. will be not too negative.

I love Marsa Alam and Abu Dabab most, as far as the Red Sea...

I love Marsa Alam and Abu Dabab most, as far as the Red Sea goes. My favourite place of all time is the Concorde Moreen Hotel, with the Hilton coming a strong second. We only ate at the hotels, because our time was limited. I used the taxi service offered online by Booking.com, which I found to be very efficient and reasonable. But I am also a seasoned traveller in Egypt and do not find it difficult to negotiate with taxi drivers. (It can be very useful to ask Chat GPT first what an average trip should cost you, if you are unsure, and then use that as a guideline for your negotiations.) It's an amazing experience to go out on a boat, but picking the right one can make the difference. I will be leaving my review on our experience separately (as it warrants a whole story on its own :))

Very quiet town, simple and the sea is amazing. You can swim anywhere. No so much facilities ( food places, supermarkets,..) and pharmacies located around hotels. Weather is hot, limited gas stations and road is not preferable to be taken at night.

The sea was beautiful. Unfortunately strong winds kept me from going into the sea. We stayed mostly in the lagoons. There was no access to sea from the beach, only from the pier. The life guards were good and attentive.

Very nice and friendly locals!

Very nice and friendly locals! Not many tourists, no aggressive salesmen. The city is not rich, so expect some garbage lying around. Prices are generally very low, not adjusted for tourists (except at nearby hotels). We found only a few restaurants, but many fastfood places.

Beach area we were in wasn't the greatest,no swimming area ,...

Beach area we were in wasn't the greatest,no swimming area ,too shallow and rocky not sandy.Took quad ride out in desert was fun.Lots of fish to see on reefs,water very clean.marss Mubarak has resident dugong and turtles but didn't see the dugong on our visit.Overall nice place ,a bit on the windy side but nice relief from heat.

There are a lot of turist activities, like boat or desert trips. The sea is great for snorkelling, the coral reef is not far away, and it's possible to see wild dolphins. Outside resorts, life in Hurghada is not as nice though. The experience with taxis and local people can be awful, they are pushy and often trying to scam you. Always negotiate the price, and book online when possible.
