Also, heartfelt thanks to the kitchen team — *Chef Mostafa* and *Chef Essam* — for the delicious meals and excellent service. A very special thank you to *Coach Mahmoud Noaman*, the amazing swimming trainer who taught me how to swim during my stay. Our first 5* hotel in our lives. What a way to enter this world than with Serry Beach Resort? I assure you, we were just like you, wondering if this place was worth all the hype it meets on social medias. We weren’t disappointed and I will even say, it exceeded the heights we were hoping for. A special thanks to Emad who never failed to smile once when I looked at him, and to Sara also. She was our French referent here and our candle in the dark when we felt confused or overwhelmed at times by the scale of this hotel. I’m not used to say this because I happen to enjoy traveling a lot and above all discover new places, but if I had to chose only one place I had to go back in my life, it would be there.

Absolutely all staff were so very helpful and thoughtful. (Thank you.) Nothing seemed to phase them. Carefully designed, buildings with wonderful outlook. Do take some time to examine the fossilised corals etc in the stone from which the place is built! Meals were always freshly prepared, beautifully presented and plentiful, with the option of seconds if need be. Vegetarian food was excellent, as was, I understand from friends, Vegan, and meat. The whole site was kept meticulously clean, including the beach. There are gardens with indigenous plants, including those that attract butterflies and moths. Also a formal fresh water feature, the home of numerous dragonflies: a surprise bonus. The infinity pool is generously sized. Security appears to be excellent, as are safety features eg fire hoses, emergency exit signs, pool Life Guard. Outdoor lighting at night is adequate for safety, but angled downwards, so star gazing is possible. The House Reef is easily accessible from a pier a short walk from the Lodge. The Emperor Divers facility which abuts the Lodge gives options of Shore and Boat diving.

The hotel facilities are very-well maintained. I totally recommend this hotel if you want to have a luxurious and relaxing experience. The 7 nights I stayed at the Baron Palace were one of the best times I’ve ever experienced in travelling, we booked the Standard Room, super comfortable and ALWAYS very clean, and with an amazing view over the pool and the sea. The hotel facilities are beautiful , and the service is amazing - all team members served us in a memorable good way! Thanks to the reception staff, the super kind waiters at the Red Sea restaurant (they even remembered what we wanted to drink every time!), the pool staff that were also always making sure we had everything we needed (drinks, towels,…), the animation team always so smiley. We were really surprised, we didn’t expect to be so well taken care of. I recommend it highly.

Wonderful hotel that met all our requirements/whises and more. Excellent management of the hotel (visible that a lot of effort is put into mantianance and attention to detail), tasty food (considering its an all inclusive resort), great staff (with some minor exceptions), very clean, big and very comforatble room and so on and so on. In my view the hotel deserves a much higher grade than 8.9, that it currently has on booking.com. Great for familes and others; a bit of something for everyone. Very highly recommended.

Lovely place, with a stunning view! The staff were great and extremely courteous and helpful. All inclusive was worth it - very good meals from breakfast through to dinner; and the hotel had various activities going on during the day. Various pools to choose from, so that was quite helpful when one felt slightly packed. Room was amazing - stunning view, was spotless and had no issues whatsoever; definitely recommend.

I am a freediver and go to Hurghada twice a year to dive.

I am a freediver and go to Hurghada twice a year to dive. Hurghada is a tourist town located between the salty Red Sea and a desert. Of course, Hurghada, as a city, does not have Western standards. BUT much of what "people" think is "dirty" is salt and sand that bind to each other. As a coastal resident, I know this and can ignore THAT part. Street cleaning has developed over the years: The authority works with HEPCA for a better environment for both the city and the Red Sea In addition, the Egyptians are wonderful, yes the sellers are hard. Don't forget that it is what they live on. A smile and a polite "no thank U" are just polite.

The Alaya hotel guests has a private beach area at Coraya bay, my husband and I were given a lift there by a golf cart. Alaya staff greeted us at the beach area ,attending to our needs. providing beach chairs, umbrella and bar service . The swimming are is great, water is clean and warm. Snorkeling and scuba diving is available. I did snorkel and it was a great experience.

Port Ghalib is worth a visit, outside of the AI Hotels. Nice bars, good restaurants and friendly people. On Saturdays there is now a Cruiseship visiting Port Ghalib, hopefully the effects on the reef etc. will be not too negative.

I love Marsa Alam and Abu Dabab most, as far as the Red Sea...

I love Marsa Alam and Abu Dabab most, as far as the Red Sea goes. My favourite place of all time is the Concorde Moreen Hotel, with the Hilton coming a strong second. We only ate at the hotels, because our time was limited. I used the taxi service offered online by Booking.com, which I found to be very efficient and reasonable. But I am also a seasoned traveller in Egypt and do not find it difficult to negotiate with taxi drivers. (It can be very useful to ask Chat GPT first what an average trip should cost you, if you are unsure, and then use that as a guideline for your negotiations.) It's an amazing experience to go out on a boat, but picking the right one can make the difference. I will be leaving my review on our experience separately (as it warrants a whole story on its own :))

Very quiet town, simple and the sea is amazing.

Very quiet town, simple and the sea is amazing. You can swim anywhere. No so much facilities ( food places, supermarkets,..) and pharmacies located around hotels. Weather is hot, limited gas stations and road is not preferable to be taken at night.

The sea was beautiful.

The sea was beautiful. Unfortunately strong winds kept me from going into the sea. We stayed mostly in the lagoons. There was no access to sea from the beach, only from the pier. The life guards were good and attentive.

Very nice and friendly locals!

Very nice and friendly locals! Not many tourists, no aggressive salesmen. The city is not rich, so expect some garbage lying around. Prices are generally very low, not adjusted for tourists (except at nearby hotels). We found only a few restaurants, but many fastfood places.

"I did not leave the grounds of the Iberotel Costa Marès. There are already so many wonderful things to do like snorkeling, diving, massages and especially the many activities offered by Captain Mahmoud's extraordinary team and the high quality shows performed in the evening. All the staff are adorable, attentive, attentive both on the beach and by the pool as well as in the various restaurants, not to mention the maintenance staff and gardeners, the cooks, the waiters (mention special for Ahzem from the main restaurant, Abd Allah at the pool restaurant, Mostafa who is part of Mahmoud's team, Hod Hod on the beach and many others of whom I don't really know the spelling of their first name. are all very courageous, with a sense of humor and kindness like I have rarely seen. Everything is put in place so that you only want to do one thing... come back as quickly as possible."
