We went for our friends birthday and the staff were amazing and so helpful. The waitress anthia (I think that's her name) she was fantastic, funny and catered to everyone's needs. The rooms were warm and had everything you needed. The reception staff were also very helpful and friendly. I would definitely visit again but id stay another day to enjoy the surroundings. Troodos is only a 10 minute drive away and I would highly recommend visiting the little market square and also the lovely bars in the village.

We liked absolutely every thing about this hotel. Very unique. Such wonderful in every detail. We sat out on the verandah sipping our drinks and soaked up the pine smelling surroundings. Pity we are only here for one night. Next time longer. I highly recommend this place.

    The hotel is very simple but clean, comfortable and very well located. Great free parking, good wifi (but not in all rooms, in room #3 the signal was pretty weak but after mooving to #4 all was perfect). I need to admit the exrtemely good breakfast. It was really super home-made breakfast with lots of cheese, yogurt and several home-made cakes. I am really surprised for such a price. Also we arrived pretty late (almost at 22) and in low season I was sure we cannot find anybody at the desk. But the lady (I believe she is one of the owners) was really nice to wait for us

    My experience was undeniably exceptional, receiving top-notch ratings across the board for the room, location, staff, reception, services, breakfast, spa, and restaurants. The captivating natural surroundings and the genuine village atmosphere only added to its allure. I must commend Mr. Angelos, the restaurant manager, for his professionalism and hospitality. Additionally, the hotel efficiently arranged affordable and very good transportation via taxi, ensuring a seamless journey from Limassol to the hotel and later from the hotel to Larnaca.

    The location is just perfect, in a center of a beautiful historic village, yet very quie, the sound of the river is very comforting. There is lot to see and do in the walking distance. The terrace is very nice, you can sit outside in the sun or under the stars listening to the river. Mrs. Evgeniya is very friendly and helpful, she gave us herbs for tea and olive oil for cooking, as well as advice about the area. There are lots of cute cats by the house.

    Beautifully decorated apartment (201) with clean and modern facilities yet still having lots of lovely rural decorative ornamental pieces. Comfortable beds. Air conditioning in all rooms was a real bonus. Stunning shared pool area (for the 3 apartment) and we had it to ourselves for all of our stay. Views from the terrace and pool area have to be seen to be appreciated.

    I know how annoying it can be to call a host at 9pm to notify about issue with a hot water. It is then my big respect that it was solved so quickly and smoothly.     Platres is one of my favourite mountain villages in Cyprus.

    Platres is one of my favourite mountain villages in Cyprus. it has a lovely vibe and many restaurants and cafes to choose from. I recommend Pendeli Hotel for a luxurious stay or forest park if looking for a very budget friendly stay. Petit Palais is one of the oldest hotels in the square and is loved by locals and tourists. EnPlatron is one of my favourite Taverns offering great traditional dishes and live music on weekends. Kaledonia Tavern is also a favourite local tavern so make sure to give it a try Cleopatra Bistro is a favourite for modern dining and deserts and beverages. Beautiful and modern decor if looking for yummy fast food try I Sitzia Tou Mavrou for a delicious Gyros

    Kakopetria is a beautiful destination that combines natural beauty, historical charm, and a sense of tranquility. Its picturesque setting, with stone houses, cobblestone streets, and lush landscapes, creates an idyllic atmosphere for visitors. The surrounding nature is remarkable, with hiking trails like Varkotis and Chromium offering unique paths through green forests and along rivers. The peace provided by the environment makes hiking an invigorating experience. Additionally, the calming sound of the river that flows through the area, like the one you can hear in the backyard of Maritsa Lodge, offers a unique sense of inner peace, almost like the natural white noise of the outdoors.     We love Omodos as a stay over place ie one night. The village is beautiful with a lot of history. In my opinion it’s one of the nicest villages in Cyprus. Full of history too with a small free museum that is extremely interesting. The village is small so you can walk around it in a very short time and it’s so beautiful you really should walk around. For night life, most restaurants and the bakers close around 6.30pm ish. There are a couple of places that open til midnight on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. However I really think this is a gem not to be missed.

    Agros village is a perfect place to escape from busy city life for a couple of days and to enjoy the tranquility of traditional village lifestyle, walk the narrow streets, with beautiful , authentic architecture, meet locals, try local food and of course to recharge yourself with nature and mountain sceneries. Agros is very, very clean and the water is super tasty)

    Pedoulas was a wonderful base from which to explore this area of the Troodos Mountains. It was our first time in the mountains of Cyprus and we wanted to see sites such as Kykkos Monastery, Archangel Michaels church etc. and to do nature trails in the mountains. We achieved these objectives very comfortably from our location and could also move on to the west coast with a scenic (but very winding!) drive back down to sea level:)

    Beautiful and well preserved mountain village, people are really friendly and they show love for their place. It is obvious they take good care of it. We had dinner and lunch at two different places and they were both really good. There is also a nice coffee shop with views of the mountains.

    Potamitissa itself doesn’t have things to do.

    Potamitissa itself doesn’t have things to do. However, villages such as Pelendri, Agros, Kyperounta are near by and have plenty of things to do. Do visit the taiakkas winery near pelendri for a nice immersive experience. We enjoyed a lovely dinner in the Symposio Taverna in pelendri.
