The staff all went above and beyond and made our holiday very special. Marietta and Kristina at reception were incredibly helpful and kind. They treated our little girl like family and she was so excited to see them every day. She is still asking for them now we are home. The restaurant and housekeeping staff were also amazing always making a fuss over our toddler and making our 1st wedding anniversary so special organising flowers and champagne with my husband. The service is so personal and not like the huge hotels where there are so many people it's hard to have that same experience. The pool area was lovely with 2 pools including a small child pool. There are plenty of sunbeds and doesn't feel overcrowded and no early morning rush to get one round the pool. The rooms are large and clean and the food is really good with lots of variety. The evening buffet is great value and I highly recommend the greek bbq night. Also the cocktails are really good especially the strawberry mojito and amazing value at happy hour. We went for the annual Moonwalk, amazing as usual. Restaurants and bars excellent and varied, every taste catered for. Found the bars a bit noisy on the weekend as they compete with each other. Xylofagou is a perfect starting point for excursions to discover the beautiful island. There are several good restaurants, the sea and the beaches are close and can be easily reached by car within 10 minutes. Xylofagou is not very touristic and offers the opportunity to dive into the real Cyprus life, not into the very touristic nightlife which is offered around Agia Napa. We fell in love with Cyprus and with Xylofagou and hope we will be able to come back one day. The city is vibrant and full of tourists. If you're looking for the great destination for partying Ayia Napa is for you otherwise go out of the town or to Protaras which is not far from Ayia Napa. Protaras is a lively resort with plenty of hospitality venues along "the strip" and a wonderful 6kms boardwalk which was the reason for my visit for the BOARDWALK MUSIC FESTIVAL and full lunar eclipse of the moon. It has a great vibe for all ages and is very clean unlike Limassol where I live. There are plenty of activities and places to visit away from the sunbeds. Protaras is a very plesant place. The boardwalk along the beach has many bars and places to eat. All very family and child friendy. Menus are similar, with seafood being delicious and well priced. 2 sunbeds and an umbrella are under ten euros a day. The beaches are clean and the ocean is clear and warm. Many boat trips to choose from. Not many other excursions. Prob best to hire a car to see a bit more yourself.
