We had a really great time at this hotel! We received all the relevant information in advance from Carol and she was always available when we needed her help or had some questions. She even booked the tickets for the park late at night for us since we arrived in the evening. The room was big, clean and comfortable. It was really quiet at night and we could rest perfectly. The hotel stuff was so friendly and helpful as well. The entrance to the park is really close (approx. 5 min walking distance) and there are a lot of restaurants in the area. I can highly recommend this hotel if you want to visit the park!

Great location! The staff were very helpful - guiding us on how to get around, recommending excellent places to eat, and even helping us adjust our itinerary so we could make the most of our time. Nice hotel. Clean - good sized room and bathroom. Quiet. Manager - Jack Ma - is very welcoming and personaly showed me the local delicacies being cooked fresh on the buffet breakfast. Every time I left the hotel someone would check to make sure I was OK and knew here I was going. They offered a map and helped point me in the direction of the metro system.

Good location, clean room, confortable beds. The location is perfect, 2 minutes walk from the East Entrance of the park. There is a food market in front of the hotel. The staff is very helpful and warm. They helped us with the route for the next day (they even made sure that we understood it) and also helped us to book the tickets in advance. Also, they helped us with the taxi to the airport. Thank you Yoba Boutique Hotel for the hospitality and for making our trip memorable!

Our stay at Yuelu Homestay was beyond fantastic. It’s located just a 5-minute walk from the west gate of park, making it a perfect base for exploring the stunning scenery. The rooms were clean, cozy, and provided everything we needed after long days of exploring, including a hot and cold filtered water dispenser and access to a washing machine. The proprietor, Lily, treated us like family from the moment we arrived, always making sure we had everything we needed. Lily prepared delicious meals for us each day, arranged our park tickets, and gave us invaluable advice on what to see and how to navigate the park, including maps she marked for us. We couldn’t have found our way around the park without her help. If you're looking for a place that feels like a home away from home, with excellent hospitality and a prime location for exploring the park, Yuelu Homestay is the perfect choice. I can't recommend it enough!

    A very unique place to be. A must visit place.

    A very unique place to be. A must visit place. We loved it even though we can’t read Chinese and speak a little only. We enjoyed our very short time there. Even in the rain it was great fun. Wear waterproof trainers when it’s rainy season as your feet will get wet and it can be slippery with the wrong footwear.

    City with very friendly people from the hotel, the Metro and the tourist places. We loved the Orange Island and the photos we took will always give us memories. The food was not any different from ours back home but it was more tasty. It was easy for us to get around using the metro and taxis.

    Stunning!

    Stunning! our 2nd favorite natural attraction in China, 2nd only to Huangshan Mountain. lots of great trails with exceptional views of a singular landscape. we stayed inside the park at YOLO hotel, which made access very easy. fortunately, transportation inside the park is shuttle bus only, they run frequently, and there's no congestion from private autos like you get at Yosemite. there's a big focus on "Avatar", but that is only one pillar of hundreds. Zhangjiajie is like Arizona's Grand Canyon except in a temperate rain forest, and on a more intimate scale, plus there are no incessant helicopters or mule feces.

    Great place to be!

    Great place to be! The cost of food and everything is noticeably cheaper compared to the major cities of china. High recommend it if you are a night owl, this city never sleeps and is great for grabbing a drink and late night meal. There are also alot of hidden gems up in the mountains.

    Amazing place.

    Amazing place. My focus was in the nature and zhangjiajie definitely delivered. Everything went super smoothly, but couple didi drivers tried to scam more money by adding extra fees in the app. Luckily didi customer service was good and got it fixed. Besides that small thing everything else was 10/10 for me, i strongly recommend visiting.

    The view of the river is so majestic, both during the day and the night! For women, the traditional attire rental is something everyone should try. The booking for Hanfu and Mao clothing are not available online though, but its everywhere once you are in the town.

    Although large population, residents are provincial. Lacks the charm of other cities. Entry into downtown area nearly impossible. Traffic unbelievable. Only one entry into main area. Left earlier than anticipated because of the nature of the city. Couldn't be bothered to see more.
