A wonderful hotel in a beautiful town. We stayed in a duplex room, which was nice and comfortable. There was no refrigerator or minibar in the room, but this was mentioned in the description. We arrived late, so we used the self-check-in option. There was free parking on site. Breakfast was served from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. It included everything you need for such a small and cozy hotel

    Perfect place where to stay if you’re planning on doing the hikes around. The hotel has a large wellness space with all kind of saunas, steam rooms and hot tubs. Perfect to relax! The food is really good as well, very nice staff, with a special note for the restaurant-bar manager, that was just exceptional, looking into the little details to make sure everything is perfect and always having a nice word for everyone, I’ve rarely seen someone as dedicated and professional 👌. Rooms are large and confortable, the only thing I may say is that in my opinion they are a little too basic, missing some charme/character/decoration. But overall, great place to stay, the lobby lounge with fireplace is very cost to have a drink or read after a long day. I will definitely come back!

    Our stay at Château Gütsch was wonderful. Fantastic views, ideal to treat yourself and enjoy something special in Luzern. The staff is helpful and friendly. The Gütsch forest is a short walk away ( I highly recommend this), but the funicular takes you back to the city quickly. The rooms have everything you need. We were travelling with a baby (9 months) and they provided a cot, which was great, although the bed is big enough for three as well. The breakfast is very complete with good options for all. They provide a Luzern visitor card which includes transport all around the city, which suited our needs perfectly.

    I’m used to traveling the world and staying in 5-star hotels, but I have to say — the level of service here was on a whole different level. I’ve never experienced anything like it before. Everything was flawless, and the attention to detail was simply mind-blowing. We were unexpectedly upgraded to a Corner Suite with a stunning lake view for our honeymoon, which was such a lovely surprise!     Beautiful quaint town with lots to see.

    Beautiful quaint town with lots to see. If you don’t like crowds it won’t be for you. Costly to eat, however supermarkets are plenty and offer reasonable value. The Lion Monument is well worth a trip to see as is the fortress and funicular up to hotel for a drink.

    Ok so, Weggis is a beautiful little village but that is also it's problem, it's a little village. Activities were limited and so were the restaurants. I would recommended staying there as a "base" but then exploring the surrounding attractions.

    The lake view from the hotel window, with the surrounding mountains, is vey beautiful. The mountain behind is a very nice "fitness" route. The view from the top of the mountain is even better than from the hotel, amenities include boat trips through the lake, a golf course on top of the mountain and a sky station next to the town.

    One of the most beautiful places in Switzerland, that is not very much known to international travelers, which means cable car prices here are way cheaper than for example Mont Pilatus. It has everything, the lakes, majestic mountain peaks, secluded Seelisberg See, the historical background. The shape of Vierwaldstättersee makes it looking like a fjord from above. I truly adore this area and I think it's highly underrated.

    Stoos is a very charismatic small village in the Swiss alps. You get their only with the steepest funicular of the world, no cars in the village. During the summer season this village only attracts people for the famous (and very overcrowded by Instagrammers and Tiktokkers) Stoos ridge hike. It is amazing and has great views but you walk in line the whole way unless you are willing to really take the 1st chairlift up there. I am sure there are as nice hikes but less crowded ridge hikes in Switzerland. It was a reminder for us to never take travel tips from social media.

    The closest one where I stayed for work is the Culinarium...

    The closest one where I stayed for work is the Culinarium Alpinum where I require to walk to the office. Also, there is no uber or any local app for cab to be there within the city ride. However, the buses and trains are well connected as the timings alone required to be known well in advance before you travel for the day as the nearest hill for food is Sarnen and nearest station is Stans and from there, you could travel to Lucern or stop trains through hops for Zurich.

    The staff were very friendly. The owners (Gaby and Andy) gave us hints for where to hike in winter and loaned us walking sticks. The view from our room was beautiful looking at the mountains and lake across the valley. We assume summer will be beautiful as well. The restaurant was also excellent with a good selection and service. Breakfast included with the room was also great. Altdorf was a nice little village and people were helpful. We plan to return with our children and their partners.

The main attraction in Hergiswill is the glass works and its museum and restaurant. There is a boat that stops there. One of its benefits is hotels that cost less than Lucerne Hotels and offer great views of the Lake. Consider it a suburb of Lucerne.

    Beautiful town, so clean and everyone really welcoming and friendly. Easy to get around on buses and trains. Mount Pilatus is a very worthwhile trip with fantastic views. Take the funicular up to the hotel Gütsch and have a drink or meal looking down over Lucern, followed by a stroll in the woods. Lucerne is a great place for a short break but be prepared it is expensive compared to the UK
