ThailandThe staff (a man sorry did not get your name) who works there does most of everything (check-in, room service, breakfast) himself may be because we arrived quite late. Even though it was just him, everything was done quite efficiently. We requested additional pillows and he came right up. At breakfast, he did everything from filling the buffet bar up to cleaning the table and he did it so quickly and perfectly. Out of all the good things there, we were amazed by him the most. He work like owns the hotel (or may be he does) or else the owner should really give him a big bonus. Breakfast was of great quality (did not expect that at all in such a small hotel). Better than some hotels that cost more than twice as much during our trip. The scrambled eggs were delicious. The room was clean. We parked outside the hotel since there was a spot available. It was also free since it was part of the hotel area. Did not want to go down the underground garage because our car was quite big. The hotel is a recommend.

This place is, above all, full of history. The last emperor of Austria-Hungary, Blessed Charles Habsburg, stayed there with his wife, Servant of God Zita, and their family; the history of the castle is also related to, among others, the French Revolution. There is an old, very interesting chapel next to it. The castle is beautifully situated, overlooking the lake, surrounded by a vast, magnificent park; it has terraces, herb gardens and beautiful plants under the windows. Interesting interiors, especially historic staircase and the Silent Room. Family apartment consists of 2 rooms with a bathroom and a kitchenette; the apartment was very clean, well-equipped, with a nice view of the park and a side view of the lake. Breakfasts are plentiful and tasty. The price is high, but it is a castle after all!

I chose this hotel principally because of the location, but also on the strength of the reviews and free parking. This is a delightful hotel, cosy and elegant. I instantly received a heartfelt welcome which will stay with me for a long time. I appreciated the dimmer light in the bedroom, comfortable bed and beautiful bedding. Dinner was simply fabulous, and the possibility of ordering smaller portions enabled me to enjoy a main course and dessert.
Waking after a good night's sleep (rare for me), I felt as though I was staying at my favourite aunt's instead of a faceless hotel. At breakfast, ingredients were fresh, local and delicious.
I would absolutely stay here again.

I loved the hotel. Will definetly stay there again and I recommend it to anyone traveling in Wil. The breakfast was wonderfull, also for possibilities for fasting/vegan/vegetarian diet, they had the most lovely forest fruits you can imagine. The cheese selection was also great. I also liked the coffee/tea facilities in the room. The bed is confortable and I slept very well and woke up rested. It's a great place to stay.

The view to the lake, an early morning swim in the lake, the terrace and the friendliness (also to our kids) of part of the personnel. The hotel is located next to a bar where a dj was playing music until 10:30 pm (nice music!)

The view from the restaurant outdoor was stunning! We saw hawks, cows, boats on the lake, beautiful thunder etc. The vibe was serene and positive. The server/hotel manager was great, the wine was good and we would visit again.

The abbey complex is the place you want to see if you are...
The abbey complex is the place you want to see if you are interested in history: the museum, the vault and the library are amazing and absolutely worth the visit (and the price, that is even cheap).
Getting around the town is easy, both walking and using the public transportation.
If you arrive by car, remember that a great part of the center is not accessible, but there are parking areas open 24/7 that cost 20 CHF for 24h.

I booked the hotel in Uzwil to use it as a “hub” for further visits by car to many historic and cultural sights in the eastern part of Switzerland, Lichtenstein and southern Germany (St.Gallen, Winterthur, Stein am Rhein, Zurich, Appenzell, Konstanz, etc.). From this point of view the choice of this hotel in the small town of Uzwil was right.
Uzwil is a small town/village. There are no special attractions. It was difficult to navigate because of the major extensive road works in the area around the Hotel Uzwil. Hotel's restaurant is fine but quite overpriced. Fortunately there is an excellent restaurant "Freudenberg" at a distance of 600 meters (you need to climb up to the hill). Coop and Migros restaurants are just nearby.

The hotel was very friendly and parking was very easy. Our balcony had a marvellous view of Lake Constance. It was short walk downhill to the lakefront, with various acxtivities in the marina area (including a curry wurst stand).
We ate in the restaurant at the hotel, and the food was just fine.
The breakfast selection was reasonable for the area. (no fried eggs though!)
We would certainly stay again

This apartment was SO NICE.
This apartment was SO NICE. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Parking was included and was right across the street in the garage. We ate at the Kabob place two doors down and the food was great. Herisau is such a quaint little town and so close to St. Gallen and other areas of interest. There is a MIGROS store across the street and was so convenient. There is no interaction with the owners, but the code they left us got us in and was perfectly fine. If you do stay there, just know that the name of the hotel is NOT listed on the building, so we had a little bit of a hard time locating it.

A very interesting place with a lovely old town, and stunning scenery in the area. Particularly, I would recommend visiting the Abbey Library, a stunning place, and the three lakes beauty spot up on the side of the valley, above the town.

I thought the city was lovely.
I thought the city was lovely. We went various places from there. It would have been easier if more people spoke English or French, but we managed. Also, a lot of stores just never seemed to be open unless they were in malls. Some did open around noon, but closed early. We tried different restaurants. The transportation system overall in Switzerland was wonderful. We loved the library and Cathedral in St. Gallen.
