I was there for work but I had a chance to visit the waterfront for swims each day, and that is what I loved the most during my stay. There are public swim areas with showers and dressing rooms, and even small lockers, but you have to bring your own padlock. The cycle path network is decent, with some trails even leading through a connected web of small paths through gardens and courtyards.Guest review byRobertUnited States - 6.0

A good jumping off place for work at the UN or generally in Geneva. A very nice little town with plenty of amenities within easy walking distance. Public transport right across the street. Noisy with the train tracks just across the street and jet arrivals every 2-3 minutes from the early morning to about 23:00. The lifts will drive you crazy. Helpful staff, especially Debora at the desk and Joseph in the dining area. There are cheaper alternatives on the French side but less conveniently situated.Guest review byRianSwitzerland - 10.0
A great place to stay!
A great place to stay! The host is such an amazing person and easily approachable. The apartment was so clean with all necessary facilities and my family as a whole enjoyed a lot and I would rate this apartment as the best ever I've stayed so far. Highly recommend! Very good for the pricing.Guest review byRozina - 2.0

Actually, Booking.Com is recklessly negligent in still advertising the Subject Property in Vesenaz because the latter has claimed that it has stopped accepting bookings since the start of the year, and so why did the former take my money/claimed my booking was confirmed. The decent thing to do Booking.Com is not only return my money, but also compensate me for painstakingly finding a substitute accommodation that is almost four times more expensive than the Subject Property that failed/refused me entry on 28 March 2023.Guest review byROY BASANESPhilippines - 8.0
Great place to visit.
Great place to visit. The lake, and the activities around it are fantastic. If you stay in a hotel, you get a free travel pass from the government for the duration of your stay, which is super convenient. This covers buses, trams and boats across the lake. Eating out can be expensive as you would imagine, but there are lots of affordable places near the university. There is a thriving cafe culture and bars, especially around the old town which I very much enjoyed. For the younger crowd, there are nightclubs and live music along the edge of the lake. It's important to plan to get the most out of Geneva.Guest review bySeanTaiwan - 8.0

For a small town -- great restaurants within walking distance of hotel. Pastry shop across from the hotel -- amazing. Pizza restaurant down the street was wonderful. Aldi across from the train platform -- perfect for snacks and wine.Guest review byTammieUnited States - 6.0
There isn’t much to do in Geneva: the huge fountain and Lake...
There isn’t much to do in Geneva: the huge fountain and Lake Geneva, and that’s about it. The Old Town is not very big or particularly interesting compared to many other cities in Central Europe. I recommend a visit to Mount Salève, which offers beautiful views over the canton, the city, and Lake Geneva. The city provides a free public transport card if you stay in a hotel, and one bus line goes directly to the starting point of the cable car. Geneva has a wide range of good restaurants serving cuisines from around the world. As for local food, I find it overloaded with cheese. Eating out is very expensive; expect to spend at least 40 CHF (about 40 €) per person for lunch, with dinner costing even more. Geneva is not a large city, and the central area feels relatively small. What bothered me most was the noticeable prostitution, homelessness, and drug use, especially around the main railway stationGuest review byRistoFinland
