Burlington is a nice in between city as it sits about 50 minutes from Toronto in one direction and Niagara in the other. There are a lot of food options in the area as well; including the mall with a variety of offerings such as the Art of Pho which is way better than it should be as a mall food place. The NYF on the other hand was just meh, as the fries we super soft and the gravy salty and not gratifying. An alternative would be Sams Grill which has some better options. I would recommend the Jusjerk Jamaican restaurant that not only had a lovely lady taking the order but the food was class as well. (Disclaimer the Irish Moss drinks are an acquired taste). And finally if you’re looking for a place to walk, hangout and take in the sun, visit Spencer’s at the waterfront. It includes a nice walking path and pier to look out over the water. As I mentioned in my countless emails and calls to Best Western Milton and Booking.com, I made an error when booking a hotel room for my Dad, and he actually needed me to book at a different Best Western. I called the hotel and booking.com within 5 minutes of booking, before any card was even charged, and no one was able to give me grace and cancel my booking. I know there are policies in place, but when someone makes a mistake like this and tries to fixit right away, there should be a grace period, especially since my card had not even been charged yet. Best Western Milton had horrible customer service. They said if Booking.com would refund them, the would refund me. Booking.com said the same thing about Best Western. Therefore, I know it was possible to cancel my booking but no one did. After I wrote a bad review of Best Western they called me and told me they would look into it, and if they couldn’t refund me they would give me a credit. I deleted my review and then the ghosted me. They would no return my call or emails or even respond to me to give me the credit the promised (in writing). Bad experience. Bad customer service. Paris has lovely shops. Most shops open at 10 am or later. We stopped at the Paris Beer Company for a nice cold beer and fresh pretzel on their patio. The brewery is within walking distance from the Arlington Hotel, as is Still Waters Restaurant on Grand River St N where we enjoyed a lovely dinner and watched rafts go down the river. There are very good restaurants in down town Hamilton. The aircraft museum is well worth visiting as is the Victorian water pumping station and Haida ship which belonged to the Canadian navy. There are some very run down areas within Hamilton to be avoided.Guest review byKathryn - 10.0

Nice place with wide streets and a small city vibe with only 30min by the nearby highway to downtown Toronto. Tons of shopping all around. Walmart, liquor stores, restaurants/fast food for all tastes. First time sleeping here for 10 days pleasantly surprised us. Would recommend anyone to visit. Cheaper accommodation than in Toronto which is nearby. Lakefront parks were nice but not enough time to explore all there is to offer. I would return now that I have been here.
