North Vancouver is the place to be. So much better than boring downtown. Perfect for those who want to use public transport as the seabus is mega efficient and various buses depart from main station including Lynn canyon and grouse mountain

When we first entered the house, we were greeted with wine and chocolates. Thanks to the host’s kindness and thoughtfulness, we were able to enjoy a lovely evening. The house was very clean, and most of the tools and supplies were well-prepared, making our stay comfortable. We initially had some trouble communicating with the host, but they came in person and provided a lot of assistance. After that, we had a comfortable stay, and if we visit Vancouver again, we would love to book this place once more!

North Vancouver is cleaner and more outgoing than downtown...

North Vancouver is cleaner and more outgoing than downtown area. Just about 5km to Capilano from this area. Lots of great restaurants and cafés at the Pier. Drinks and dinner at Joey’s, not too pricy and great presentation and taste of food. Easy access to downtown via SeaBus.

This place was awful from customer service from the host to...

This place was awful from customer service from the host to the details on the posting. Felt like a scam the entire time I dealt with them because once I booked a non-refundable stay he had no incentive to care about me. Sam, the host, seems to be of the mindset that the more aggressive you are with your travelers the better. He was rude, inflexible and did nothing to make me, a single woman traveling alone, feel comfortable or safe. Sam was completely unwilling to refund any portion of my booking once I told him I was feeling uncomfortable and unsafe. When I booked this place I was under the impression that I had a small "beautiful house" to myself. A week before the booking I found out that it's a guest house, so it shared common spaces with other travelers. The description on the listing is vague enough that it is hard to tell what accommodations each level of guest has. I asked questions to find out more but he kept just referring me back to the listing. He evaded my questions that could have easily made me more comfortable such as "Is there a lock on the bedroom?" "How are security and noise handled?" "What are the shared spaces with other travelers like?" Ultimately he chose to stand tall on his non-refundable policy vs listening to and being empathic toward a unique situation in which someone was not feeling safe with the lack of information provided and newly learning that I'd be sharing space with strangers, including Sam. Booking.com was absolutely terrible to deal with as well. In the end I chose my safety over my money and lost the entire booking cost. Do not book here and do not use booking.com, they do not support their customers in a situation like this.

North Vancouver is a very relaxing place to drive around away from downtown because of the traffic. Suspension bridge is the best place to visit, some of the parks are great too like the spin needle. Our stay was shoert so didn't have enough time to visit other places.

Nestled against the stunning backdrop of the North Shore...

Nestled against the stunning backdrop of the North Shore Mountains, North Vancouver uniquely blends rugged nature with urban convenience. Its proximity to vast forests, including Lynn Canyon and Mount Seymour, offers a plethora of free hiking trails, from gentle riverside strolls to challenging mountain ascents. While perhaps not widely known for it, a few pockets in North Vancouver offer authentic and flavourful Persian cuisine ( Parse Persian Food is my favorite ), providing a delicious contrast to the area's natural bounty. This combination of accessible wilderness, complete with waterfalls and suspension bridges, and the occasional aromatic hint of saffron and cardamom, creates a truly distinctive character.
