The location was excellent as we stayed there for three nights prior to catching the ferry back to Vancouver.

Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, and staff seemed very concerned that we'd be angry - the place is relatively new and there were a couple of other guests who were engaged in quite aggressive conversations with other staff at the time. Seems like there are some issues that need ironing out. However I have no complaints, we were given a beer each, went to park the car across the street, and by the time I returned the room was ready. Room was perfect, bed was huge, swimming pool was a welcome addition. It was only a layover but would have happily spent another night. I think the staff member who helped us might have been called Vern or something similar. He was a really nice guy.

Very Clean and a great place close to the beach.

Breakfast included in the room rate was pleasant surprise. Also bottled water complimentary from reception. Although located within a business park the location was convenient for exploring both north and south of Nanaimo, and a few restaurants within walking distance.

Boasting rooms with ocean or city views, Coast Bastion Hotel in Nanaimo city centre is 2 minutes’ walk to shops and restaurants on Harbourfront Walkway. A restaurant is located on site.

The room was either the best hotel room we've ever stayed in or equal first! The view was the most amazing, beautiful view we've ever had.
