Returning from the Madidi wet, muddy and stung, there can be no better place to stay than the Casa de Campo. Rooms are very nice, attention is personal and kind, breakfast a feast. Our children loved the animals on the property, and we all enjoyed the excellent bar and restaurant. A huge thanks to doña Adela for taking so good care of us and for accommodating us in spite of some confusion as to the size of our group.

The lady that manages the house is kind and helpful, the rooms are spacious and clean. There is common space that is very cozy but the gringos talk a bit too much at night.

The host, José, was friendly and helpful throughout my short stay. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet, perfect after the quiet of the Amazon. The hot shower and breakfast was also really good. I would recommend this place if you are looking for somewhere comfortable after "roughing" it in the jungle or Pampas!

Rurrenbaque is the perfect jumping off point for your Amazon adventure. There are plenty of restaurants and a few great cafes, and plenty of companies to choose from when picking how to do a tour(s) in the Amazon. It is easy to get around of foot, and tuktuks take you to and from the airport for cheap.

A lovely town.

A lovely town. Very traditional with healthy Indigenous population that coexists with Hispanic (camba) culture. the economy seems to be thriving, but it retains its traditions. People are charming. Super safe. There are several biodiversity tours and very nice fish museum. The archeology museum has a lot of material but is closed to public. But the private Chuchini has a nice collection.

Very nice weather; I recommend 10-14 days to do most jungle trips or visit communities and even do some volunteer work if that's on your plans and time. People are friendly, cooperative and flexible Wonderful getaway. Lots of good options for eating both local and international food. You may walk almost everywhere or take motorcycle cabs.
