It was kinda expensive but it was WORTH IT. Full amenities, great location in the jungle, the compliment milk was fresh & delicious. We booked lodge for a family of 4. Looking at the sunset from the lodge was a great experience.

The staff, Bec, who is a very passionate and caring person. Thanks very much for her travel tips and her excellent hospitality service. My wife and I spent two unforgettable nights here. The unique location there allows us to experience the quiet atmosphere and to live in the nature with wild animals hanging around just outside the lodge. We also saw the spectacular view of lake and mountains, beautiful sunset and galaxy at night. These two nights definitely will be at our heart forever.

Quite possibly the most magical place we have ever stayed! The views are simply magnificent. We had planned on going out exploring, however, we set ourselves up on the veranda with a bottle or two of wine and didn't move. The farm animals were just beautiful, as were the plentiful rabbits. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and provided all the facilities you would possibly need.

We had 4 nights here and it was perfect. Beautiful location so close to many small towns and beautiful scenery. The gardens were gorgeous and it was lovely sitting under the oak tree in the afternoon watching the plovers and admiring the mountains in the distance. Also loved Chicken the cat and Chops the dog.

Cradle mountain is beautiful and wonderful.

Cradle mountain is beautiful and wonderful. We have been there on several occasions including when we were engaged. The environment is peaceful and probably better in the cooler conditions (Like now) when there are fewer tourists around. The rain adds a special feeling when walking around Dove lake. Plenty of pleasant walks around cradle mountain.

A nice little country town, which makes a great stopover when travelling between Hobart and the west coast. It is quite picturesque, especially after it snowed. One downside to snow though is possible road closures if you don't have a 4WD. There's also not a lot of options for food. Best to go shopping for groceries at the local shop or head to another town if you want to eat out (we went to Miena).

We were a group of 8 seniors, everyone enjoyed their accomodation, choice of activities available. Food was very good considering the location and we were not in peak season. Staff were efficient, well trained and friendly. Only negative- the fishermen didn’t catch a trout!! The Wall is definitely worth a visit.

Mole Creek's location allowed us easy access to a variety of towns and sites across the area - from Cradle Mountain to the Bossimis Bakehouse and Cafe in Sheffield which we visited every day we were in the area. The roads were easy to travel and the locals were warm and welcoming. Food at the Mole Creek Hotel was excellent and prices are very good.

It's where the Derwent River starts.

It's where the Derwent River starts. See Lake St Claire and The Wall. Great stopover for a rest. We bought our own food to cook but the Roadhouse can cater if they know by 4.30pm. They also have wine and beer if you need. So glad we stayed over.

Absolutely stunning and picturesque spot.

Absolutely stunning and picturesque spot. Gorgeous Mountain and farmland views. We had an incredible lunch with friends at a nearby Raspberry farm and strolled along the beautiful river at Delloraine. Next time we will stay longer and explore the surrounding area and caves.

Caveside is a beautiful place to rest and take time out of a busy life. The views are amazing as is the quiet and the fresh air. The room is modern, clean and comfortable. It had all the amenities we needed for a couple of nights away. We really loved the property with its own little rain forest walk, dam, fire pit and golf course. We were not too far from the caves, however we didnt have enough time to explore them. Deloraine is only 20min drive if you are needing any essential shopping. Overall it is a lovely getaway for 2 - 3 nights for some rest and relaxation.

The selection of walk was excellent.

The selection of walk was excellent. Signage for access to some of the walk was not optimal. There needs to be a display of weather information for the day, which walks are closed and more prominent information on dress attire.

Peace and tranquility was a big winner for us.

Peace and tranquility was a big winner for us. There was not a lot for us to do there other than a drive into the small community and a drive outside of town to look at town water supply. We brought our own food and supplies with us , expecting there would be limited choices within the town .There was very little available at general store when we looked so very pleased we made that choice !
