Montville is a lovely little locale with some great dining spots, art studios and natural elements to enjoy. We liked our brunch at Priscilla's Gallery and had yummy scones at Poet's Cafe. We also had some nice dinners in the Bar and Grill - good wines there too. We also enjoyed listening to the live music from the beer garden. Kondalilla and Gardner's Falls are worth the visit while you're here.Guest review byLeeaAustralia - 10.0
Maleny is a quaint, beautiful and magical place.
Maleny is a quaint, beautiful and magical place. We loved the trail from the property into town, loved to walk around the little boutique shops and also great that all amenities can be bought there. The pharmacy isn't open on Sunday's so take note. We recommend booking restaurants ahead of time.Guest review byKelly FenningAustralia - 8.0

Nambour is an old established town but it provides easy and quick access to the Sunshine Coast( around 20 mins to the Sunshine Coast airport) where accommodation could be considerably more expensive. My stay in the Nambour Heights Motel was directly opposite the Nambour Hospital and relatively close to other places in the area. It was 11 minutes from the Buderim Ginger Factory and very close to the Big Pineapple. Also close to the Bli Bli water ski park which appeared to be a huge complex.Guest review byMichaelAustralia - 10.0

The main attraction in Beerwah is Australia Zoo but we actually skipped the zoo this time and opted out for a quieter and more peaceful trip. There are so many beautiful landscapes and walks to enjoy in the area and it's only a short drive to Maleny or Montville as well. If you are seeking a relaxing experience, I'd definitely recommend visiting those two little towns. We enjoyed the Thai Restaurant in Maleny and strolls through the streets of Montville followed by a hearty lunch at The Edge Restaurant. We also visited the Botanic Gardens & Bird Sanctuary in Maleny which was AMAZING!Guest review byLisaGermany - 10.0
My favourite Italian restaurant was open.
My favourite Italian restaurant was open. So a hot pizza on a cold night made all the difference to our stay. The local store has a great variety of foods for snacks or dinner and then it's nice just to walk around and explore the town.Guest review byGrahamAustralia - 10.0

Excellent stay. Everything was absolutely fantastic. Beautiful home in the most magnificent setting. Everything and more was catered for. Honor was helpful and informative. Very kind. I actually cried the morning we had to leave. Definitely could have stayed, much longer.Guest review byLynneUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Hiking in the area is always fantastic.
Hiking in the area is always fantastic. The shops are quaint and quirky if that's your thing (not really mine) but for me it's the region's nature that keeps me coming back. To that end, there are pretty limited mid-range accommodation options that aren't in the townships. Some areas have more of that sort of thing nestled right among the mountains and forests, whereas in this area that kind of accommodation is harder to find and more expensive - though if you're willing to head down the range to the Eudlo area (it's only a 20 minute drive) you can do well staying there and taking day trips up the mountains.Guest review byRobAustralia - 8.0

Palmwoods is a cute little town in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. It is a short scenic drive to Montville and Maleny, and an easy drive to Maroochydore and other coastal spots. Local eating places of note are Piggyback (Asian fusion - delicious!), Ric's Garage (burgers and shakes, American diner style - fun!), The Shed (coffee, cakes, new & 2nd hand interiors/furniture) and Chew Chew Bistro (licensed bistro, local produce). Plus a quality fish & chippery, and good bakery. Lots of places to explore and try.Guest review byBlackEyePeaAustralia - 10.0
Great property for family travelling with ensuite bathrooms.
Great property for family travelling with ensuite bathrooms. The property is dated but it meats the style of an old Queenslander. If it was modernised would spoil character.Great wrap round verandah which is gated and can be closed off for young children to safely play. Plenty of utensils and crockery etc in the kitchen, some older adding to the character Will be back to explore this property walking opportunities, dam, ,cattle and horse furtherGuest review byLorraineAustralia
