Our one bedroom apartment was spacious, clean, and well laid out. The kitchen had sufficient equipment to prepare a light meal. Ken was very welcoming and helpful. Underground parking is included and is very convenient. Ken booked a delightful food tour of the tablelands for me.

the rooms were very comfortable, apartment had all the amenities' and air conditioning to make it comfortable for both couples, close to the beach, short work to the town so no need to take the car. Car parking underneath was easy access. Beautiful tropical gardens and good BBQ facilities. Two swimming pools to choose from was great.

The apartment was quite spacious including a large balcony. The kitchen was very well equipped and the bathroom was of a high standard. The two huge pools were the highlight, with plenty of space to do laps or for ball games. Very friendly service with local tips from the reception.

We love Mossman as a quick stay on our way to the Daintree. The Woolies is great to re stock, we had pies from the lovely organic dough pie shop and were excited to be traveling through on a Saturday as Mossman markets are one of our favorites (and we’ve visited a few!)

Cottonwood is like an estate all to yourself, well- and fully-appointed, in close proximity to Port Douglas, Mossman, Daintree & the rainforest. More than enough amenities. It might be considered "expensive" by some but not by us, not for what you get for your money. Amenities? It does not lack any and actually exceeds what most would consider "more-than-enough", much less "the basics". And the Hosts are just that, to a tee: Helpful beforehand and during our stay. Thank you very much.

Amazing small resort beach town, with quite a number of restaurants and shops. Beautiful beaches but unfortunately not in use due to the presence of… sea water crocodiles! Very nice surroundings, the famous coral reef, with fantastic wildlife, amazing natural parks and excellent beaches. Having to be very attentive to crocodiles and snakes is the only negative point of an otherwise truly idillic place.

Mossman is actually closer to the Daintree and Cape...
Mossman is actually closer to the Daintree and Cape Tribulation than Port Douglas, but Port is a very short drive away to be able get to reef cruises and activities there.
Mossman is the old town, still with elements of 'country', check out the Exchange Hotel (there is a Woolworths on the edge of town - I wish they'd hide it behind large trees) and a regular market every Saturday (10.00 am - 1.00 pm) in the historic church grounds.
It is not overwhelmed by tourism, but the surrounding areas have B&B and accommodation options.
Mossman Gorge is an amazing upland rainforest experience.
You get one of the mini-busses from the Visitor Info Centre (every 15 mins until 5.30 pm) This takes you to the walking trail. The first part is boardwalk, then an easy bush trail in a circuit.
The forest is spectacular, very relaxing to see & hear the water of the Mossman River. Sit on the seating or a rock near the trail and wonder at the profusion of life that fills every space.
TIP: Take a towel & wear swimmers, as there is a rock pool about 2/3 of or the way along the bush trail with clear fresh water, safe to wade & cool off in.

Port Douglas is a great place, something there for everyone, really hot in October when we stayed. If you haven't been there its well worth a few days
Third or Fourth time for us there, very clean town, plenty of food options and great beach
