Great central spot for our visit to Philip Island attractions - Penguin Parade, Nobbies, Vietnam Vets Museum ... all great places to spend some time. As well as visiting some lovely places to eat! Didn't make it to the Markets ... maybe next time!Guest review byHeatherAustralia - 10.0

The Gippsland Performing Arts Centre and Latrobe Visitor...
The Gippsland Performing Arts Centre and Latrobe Visitor Information Centre are excellent - in a large modern open space building with a cafe. Stellina (Italian) is a classy restaurant in a lovely setting and there are many restaurants and something for everyone. For a day trip the Gippsland Plains Scenic Drive is very pleasant (the rail trail is good too). There is plenty of parkland to enjoy a walk. The retail precinct is quite large and the town is large enough to have most of what you may need.Guest review byAnonymousAustralia - 10.0

Very spacious room, clean and comfy, fully stocked mini bar ,great selection, only problem I found was getting in and out of shower which was located in bath , nothing to hang on to , safety hazard. But overall a great place stayGuest review byJulie - 10.0
We found the buisness staff friendly.
We found the buisness staff friendly. Sale had a lot to offer. Lovely lakes within walking distance and parks to enjoy a picnic or quiet moment taking in the wild life. The weather was surprizing for this time of the year.( late July) The town has everything for all kind of travellers. Could have syayed longer and will be coming back to stay a little longer.Guest review byPamelaAustralia - 8.0
Warragul is a practical town with all the big brands...
Warragul is a practical town with all the big brands available. It also is closely located to nearby forests and mountains, upper reaches of the Yarra Valley, Lake Mountain for fun in the snow and Mt Baw Baw for skiing. Close access to M1 freeway to East Gippsland. Warragul people are down to earth working people traditionally. Yet the range of restaurants attract hospitality workers from diverse ages and backgrounds of course.Guest review byCoraleneAustralia - 10.0
Locals were very friendly.
Locals were very friendly. Spending time wandering the beaches was relaxing. I enjoyed the fact that most people you came into contact with were happy to chat and share local knowledge. It's a beautiful little town. Food at the esplanade pub was delicious, couldn't fault the service.Guest review byJennyAustralia - 4.0
The location & The Resort itself was great.
The location & The Resort itself was great. We had a meal at the restaurant which was fantastic. The apartment was the total opposite as described above. When we contacted Rachael regarding no hairdryer, milk, tea or coffee her reply was no milk coffee or hairdryer supplied although sometimes the previous guests sometimes leave milk etc. which would be left in the fridge! I would definitely not book there through Air BNB again.Guest review byBrianNew Zealand - 8.0

What I liked and appreciated most was the friendly and helpful staff. There was nothing wrong with our room or the amenities, it was just not the nicest stay we had in Australia. There was just nothing special about the area the hotel was located in.Guest review byMarciaUnited States - 10.0
Mallacoota was decimated by bush fires a few years ago .
Mallacoota was decimated by bush fires a few years ago . Amazing to see how well it has recovered even though the scars will remain. We visited a few beaches and as older people our favourite was Quarry Beach as there are amazing rock formations and lots of rock pools to explore..We had a very good meal at the local pub but otherwise self catered. You do need a car or bikes to get around the town.Guest review byCeliaAustralia
