Very comfortable & clean & absolutely everything you could need was provided. The owner fully explained everything to us when we arrived. The bed was really comfortable & had an electric blanket for the chilly nights. A very easy walk into all the action of Hahndorf. Lovely gardens surrounded the property & we had visits from many birds Everything was fantastic & the owner had obviously put a lot of thought into making our stay as comfortable as possible

We were once again in this magical place. The location was extremely clean, with every detail carefully arranged. We had excellent communication with Vanessa. It is one of the most atmospheric places in South Australia.

Beautiful town, like stepping into a German Village. Even better we were there the month before Christmas and it felt like the European Christmas Markets. Highly recommend a visit if you are in Adelaide area.

A weekend stay in Macclesfield at Longview Vineyard was a relaxing experience. We really found it a lovely place to unwind & a Fabulous setting.
Seniors need to be aware that it is a hilly spot with a lot of steps & not suitable for those with mobility issues in my opinion. Dining at Three Brothers Arms was a Rustic & Hearty & thoroughly enjoyable experience. Ask to see the Indoor Well. Oldest Pub in the Adelaide Hills!

It’s a great cottage for 3 couples, perhaps 4 girlfriends, quiet location, gorgeous enclosed garden for relaxing in. Our beds were very comfy, great shower, roomy kitchen and a shady private patio in front of the house to retreat to.
We loved the Thai restaurant recommended in the visitors info folder.

We stayed in the “King Room” & it was wonderful.
We stayed in the “King Room” & it was wonderful. It was quite noisy, with foot traffic going in & out as the rooms are so close, but it was a great 1 night stay overall.
May Lim sent me my code first thing & was great with communication & answering any questions I had.
Highly recommend the stay!!

The accommodation was outstanding. very comfy bed and beautiful linen.
quiet with good insolation from noise. Loved the shampoo and shower gel! It was close to the winery where our son was married. The Providore Cafe next door is amazing, and food was fresh, service great and good size serves. It is a great place to say if you are doing the wineries of the Adelaide Hills. Communicaiton with owners was very good. I would highly recommend Aberdeen Lane apartments for either your long or short stay.

Really cute little town.
Really cute little town. Lots of other quaint, small towns in easy driving distance. We booked four nights (with a function on the first full day) but actually left one day early. Was winter and once the weather turned, we were ready for home.

Aldgate is for lovers of basics for a holiday. Minimally touristy. Reasonable amenities. Nice walks in the area. Close to lots of hills attractions but away from the hustle & bustle. Own transport recommended. It is cooler than downtown Adelaide.

The pictures of the rooms don't show that you need to transverse a very narrow spiral staircase to get to the bathroom and toilet, of no use to people with mobility issues. The sliding bathroom door only had one roller making difficult to open and close. We had to travel 1/2 hr to get dinner as the local place was booked out, if we had known at the time of booking we could have made better arrangements.
There were no staff that we saw just a name on a screen telling us our room number.
We were disappointed, basically it is a glorified motel. with painted brick arches, the bed was comfortable.

Great place to visit and relax. Haus Restaurant and the German Arms Hotel were superb - food lover's delight! Loved the Cuckoo Clock Shop. Had a great day trip to Victor Harbour and Goolwah. Only issue was nil local Taxis and we stayed out of the main hub of Hahndorf (no drinking and driving!!!!)))
