The panoramic view of Bad Gastein from our apartment was breath-taking. The private sauna and bath in the room were very therapeutic. The spa and treatments made a most rejuvenating New Year getaway. The hotel is in a picturesque valley just next to the waterfall. We were invited to celebrate the New Year countdown at the balcony with fellow guests, with complimentary bubblies, and unforgettable fresh snow. From welcome to good-bye, the staff created a wonderful oasis. Thank you for the fairytale-like vacation!

The location is perfect if you want to visit towns around Salzburg, or cross to Germany. The room was big enough for two persons and comfy. The view to the mountain is very nice and there’s a nice river nearby where you can take a walk. The restaurant is located across the street with good breakfast and delicious dinners.

Big rooms, great big comfortable bed, very pretty sitting area in the corner, very nice bathroom. Everything is super clean, daily cleaning very good, the view is nice and we liked the small details such as chocolates, magazine, flowers etc. Fitness room is well equipted, but in wellness area it would be better if there were at least 1 or 2 private saunas. But there are a lot of them so there is a lot of choice! Breakfast is very good, lots of choices, even vegan & vegetarian options (much appreciated). Parking is spaceous and great. Staff is very nice! We really liked everyone in Austria generally, everyone is so nice, and so is the staff in this hotel. Thank you and we will be back to stay more than 2 nights for sure! All best.

I arrived with family members which need Kosher food and brought it from home, the hotel's kitchen allow us to store our food in their refrigerator. Great hotel for family vacation. We have to give the highest feedback for overall impression. Quality of food is at a very satisfying level with a good variety of meals. Hotel is clean and service is excellent. Staff was helpful and friendly, and I would especially like to give special thank to the Slavica, Ankica, Dusanka, Tamara and Monika, which made us feel whole vacation like home. Swiming pool was warm, playroom area great and kids enjoyed a lot. Ski Bus station is at 30m from hotel.

Salzburg is an extremely beautiful city.

Salzburg is an extremely beautiful city. It has a beautiful old center under the protection of UNESCO, starting with the Mirabel castle and park, the birthplace of Mozart, the old town center which is riddled with narrow streets, a castle on a hill, a beautiful promenade by the river. The air is so clean that we breathed and used every moment to absorb the beauty of the city. We also visited Holburne Palace, which is outside the city. In many places in the city, stands are set up and decorated for Christmas and New Year. We also visited the famous beer hall within the monastery and drank phenomenal beer. The locals are very friendly and ready to help. We are enchanted by Salzburg and recommend everyone to visit it.

Mornings meant hiking and cable-car views; afternoons were for soaking in the thermal waters; evenings, cozy bars and great food. It is a residential town so not much atmosphere or amenities other than hotels. It suited us very well as it was very peaceful. Driving or taxi into Salzburg is the best option. Otherwise a bus or taxi to an out of town shopping centre plus a bus from there. We parked out the out of town shopping centre for dinner and got a parking ticket. It was not well advertised that we should have paid for parking. Nothing to do with the hotel but be warned!

I've been visiting Bad Hofgastein for 12 years in the summer...

I've been visiting Bad Hofgastein for 12 years in the summer holiday, and with every visit it gets a bigger space in my heart. Plenty of memories, plenty of relaxation, plenty of beautiful and peaceful sceneries, and every year people are being nicer and sweeter. The town keeps developing and renovating that can be noticed in every visit.

Great authentic Austrian building with space to spare.

Great authentic Austrian building with space to spare. Don't expect modern but this adds to the charm of the place. Property was well equipped with everything that we needed. Easy parking and access to the building. All conveniences close by or a short drive away. Stunning views from the balcony and all round great place to stay.

Great base city for traveling around Salzburg region.

Great base city for traveling around Salzburg region. We have small kids and it was perfect for our kind of trip. There are various pharmacies and supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants, clothing stores, even a little market on the weekends, and just great facilities all around (including a playground for kids).

The staff and hospitality, the effort they made to speak to...

The staff and hospitality, the effort they made to speak to me in English, they even brought me breakfast out to the patio, everyone else was inside the dining hall, I wanted to enjoy the nice fall weather, by the way the breakfast was easily worth $35.00

The people are so freindly and helpful.

The people are so freindly and helpful. Tour the fortress and cemetary, eat in the square - great austrian and other food. Take in a Mozart string quartet concert at the fortress. The views day and night are incredible. Do the salt mine tour.
