My wife and I managed only one night and one walk, as we were on our way to our planned holiday in Italy. We can very easily imagine a longer stay here: - The location is indeed very special. Gurk itself has certainly a fantastic setting, but the hotel is the place itself. - The room was very spacious, the bathroom itself had the size of a hotel room :-). We had the luck to have a corner room, with windows facing two directions with great views, but I can imagine that each room is great. - Parking is just right to the entrance, easy. - The staff was friendly and helpful. - We had just the breakfast; the unusual is that you have your table reserved; actually the system is fine, particularly if the place is more busy than during our stay. The choice and the quality was very good. Apart from the pre-paid meal we had a little wine and coffee in the coffee next to the reception desk, and it was great. - You can make walks or trips around, the countryside just invites for that. And you can hire a bike, if you decide only later. - A cozy little sitting area in the room, if you want to just sit what a while with your cup of tea/coffee (tea/coffee making possible in the room). - WiFi was available and working.

Extremelly beautiful and breathtaking location. Staff was super kind and friendly. The room are super large and well furnished and facing in the garden was amazing! We had a dinner and was good, typical flavors and clean taste, love it. Breakfast as well deserve the moment after a good sleep. Highly recommendedd.

Very clean place, right next to the lake. The owners also work at the restaurant right next to it making it a perfect combo. They were really nice to keep the kitchen open late for us as we were stuck in a traffic jam and could not arrive on time.

I will avoid the cliché "very good value for money". Not that it wouldn't fit, but because it wouldn't fully explain our stay at Wiengut Taggenbrunn. I think that the owners bought the fortress and the surrounding domain and pumped huge sums of money, not as a simple investment that seeks profit. In this case, the owners simply found a way to "deposit" the money in a property located in a good, traditional location. They bought a dilapidated fortress and created a fabulous, stylish and tasteful domain around it. The decision to share this domain with the rest of us is commendable. Why am I saying this? The prices charged maybe for visitors can be good from the "very good quality-price ratio" perspective. But from the perspective of the owners, is not profitable. They will not get the "recovery of the investment" in this life. That's why such initiatives deserve praise: these people deposited their money in a property without looking for immediate profit, they arranged all the things with a lot of work and passion. The rest of us just enjoy such jewelry at normal prices.

An exceptional accommodation, featuring a modern and well-designed space with high-quality amenities. The efficient electric heating system, fully equipped kitchen (including a dishwasher), and two spacious bathrooms ensure both comfort and convenience. The addition of a sauna (!!) is a fantastic touch. The property is very good insulated, both thermally and acoustically, with high-speed WiFi, a cosy living room with a TV, and an excellent Harman Kardon speaker for an immersive audio experience. One of the highlights was the ultra-modern stove, with a stone and glass door, creating a fairy-tale ambience. Nestled right at the edge of a fir forest, just steps away from the slopes, this resort offers everything needed for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. Whether in winter or summer, it is truly a spectacular destination. Thank you very much for an unforgettable stay!

Excellent hotel, close to the highway, friendly staff, no issues, very clean hotel parking nearby and free. We arrived 15 min to 20, and even cantina works till 20, we had great dinner. Town is very nice, with great history, nice nature and excellent sitethings.

Sankt Martin is really close to Klagenfurt, St.

Sankt Martin is really close to Klagenfurt, St. Veit, Gurk or other interesting locations to explore if you like cities, churches or museums. There are also beautiful nature and a lot of paths for walking. You dont have to bring food, grocery stores are 7 min away and have everything. The Hochosterwitz castle is only 15 min by foot.
