I highly recommend this hotel if you are close to Innsbruck or South Bavaria. We traveled from there to Berchtesgaden and it took us through breathing windy roads through the Alps. We arrived late and we were welcomed by friendly staff. Breakfast was a buffet and also a cooked option. Delicious. And the restaurant was with the view - the hotel is based in the middle of the mountains. Room and bathroom were spotless clean. Piece and quiet. Highly recommended.

We have been coming here for over 15 years and have seen the hotel, which was always fabulous, improve on every visit. The most recent upgrade gives an even more elevated experience while keeping the cosy, friendly, alpine atmosphere. The staff are wonderful. Special thanks for waitresses Femke and Louise. Beds comfortable, rain shower exhilarating, Breakfast full of wonderful choices and a large array of tea. We love the location. 5 minutes walk into town but it is on the edge of town surrounded by trees and fields. Very peaceful. See you next year!

Everything was just super. I am not able to find even a small thing that we didn't like. The surroundings is so beautiful, food excellent, rooms very comfortable. Staff is friendly. If you want to go on hiking - all the facilities are near. If you with children - everything is very comfortable. All the day you can spend in the mountains and after that to spend the evening in the pool and to listen to nice music with a glass of wine. Highly recommended :)

This is an amaxing hotel that is more on luxury end. We got an upgrade upon arrival and we could really enjoy our apartment to the fullest. We had plenty of space. This place allows you to relive your Austrian luxury ski trip fantasy and it is all you could think of. The hotel is very cozy, beautiful and extremely comfortable. I can recommend ot to people who are ok with higher prices and are looking for luxury options.

We stopped over for one night on our trip from the Dolomites to Salzburg. I first visited Kitzbuhel in 1970 when I was on a high school trip. I wanted my husband to see what a charming Tyrolean town it is. We really enjoyed ourselves and the hotel was wonderful!

Just really friendly and efficient staff. Nothing was pushy or awkward. Nice beers. Not too far to the grossglockner pass. Enjoyed the trip up the ski lift even though it was late spring. Kirchberg looked iconically tyrol.

Lovely skiing area.

Lovely skiing area. Our two young granddaughters learnt to ski & ski instructors were lovely. Some great restaurants and lovely shops. Lots of trains from Innsbrook. Great place for a family holiday and everyone was very friendly

It was our first time to Söll but we have fallen in love...

It was our first time to Söll but we have fallen in love with it! The town is friendly, active, but still has a relaxed feel about it and it has everything you need. The access to the mountains is perfect and we will definitely be back!

Ellmau is a great mountain village.

Ellmau is a great mountain village. If you like hiking, you can consider purchasing a Summer ski lift Card giving you access to 14 lifts in the region. An absolute must is the Hintersteinersee. A beautiful mountain lake with clear blue water and a controlled swimming area.

This locality is the "snow corner of the Tiro" - it has snow in the valley when other resorts don't. The landscape and the village environments are beautiful and relatively without commercial architecture. The main ski-resort is brilliant - linked to Saalbach - Hin and also family friendly; Go to fantastic InterSport Gunther in the Fieberbrunn town for best value ski hire and apparel. Nearby St Jakob Buchansteinwand small ski area is great for learning and families and excellent value - get ski hire at the lift for best value. It has a family theme park and wonderful langlauf and touring territory as well as the Jakobskreutz - A massive "Cross" building on top of the Buchenstand mountain that can be seen for miles.

Westerndorf itself is very nice and quiet, not the most lively place I've been to, so wouldn't recommend it if you are young people looking for parties... My main issue was that the entire ski area is not great. It's considered the second largest in Austria, but it's pretty low, and global warming means that the snow there is terrible (even in February). Most of the pistes were too short for my liking and not great. We ended up running away to Kitzbuhel the next day, and it was much better

MIttersill is not a big town, but it sits in the middle of...

MIttersill is not a big town, but it sits in the middle of an amazing area full of mountain views, castles, and amazing hiking especially if you use the many, many ski lifts in the area to get up into the mountains. Location gives easy access to Kitzbuhel, Grossglockner Pass, and numerous parks and beautiful hiking areas. Recommend staying out of town in the many properties available on the hillsides. Beautifully built homes with lots of wood, decks for views, and easy access to roads, grocery stores, and everything needed for a great vacation!

Great, and spacious place.

Great, and spacious place. Very large living room combined with kitchen. Kitchen is well equipped. On a rainy day we watched TV- Amazon, and Netflix with your account working. They even have a sauna - we were there in 30 degree Celsius, so not needed. Clean air, and you can see Bambi at the back of the house. Have cows and great places nearby to hike. Restaurants and groceries are nearby, 5 minutes by car. Excellent choice with family or friends. The family running the place is kind and sweet, very helpful.

Hopfgarten im Brixental is a great option for friendly good skiing at a great price along with authentic Austrian cooking. Hopfgarten has three large supermarkets and at least a dozen decent restaurants so there is plenty to keep your family busy and fed when they aren't skiing or hiking. European ski values are phenomenal compared to the USA (tickets are $55 - 75 for half day/full day) and Austrian slope difficulty ratings are a little understated compared to America, so Although Hopfgarten and its several connected mountains appear to be mostly "intermediate" in difficulty they can range from intermediate to high intermediate, which is good. plenty of lifts at connected mountains to explore for extra runs and varied apres ski adventure and you are only 30 minutes from the larger towns of Worgl and Kitzbuhel by train or car.
