It is set in a beautiful valley it’s a small village with fir trees either side of the mountains and you can smell them at night when you sit out on your balcony. The hotel is modern with an Austrian twist. Its very clean and tidy, the staff were lovely and very polite. We had breakfast and evening meal at the hotel and all the food was excellent. It was very good value for money. The staff wore the origin Austrian outfits called dirndls. The parking was beside the hotel but is was safe and secure. The village has a lovely square, a Spar supermarket, to get all you need. There were quite a few places to eat for lunch or evening meal and it had a fuel station and electric charging points for cars. It is surrounded by really good walking trails. There is a lake a few kilometres outside the village and a road that takes you from Austria to Italy. There are many really good twisty winding roads with brilliant hairpin bends for motorbike riders and pedal bike riders.

The hotel was in an amazing location with stunning views of the valley. The room was perfect with everything we needed, including a balcony with view. We ate in the restaurant on both nights and the food was amazing and very reasonably priced. We had breakfast included which had a lot on offer and was all very tasty. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We could not have asked for more from our stay! If we are in the area again at some point which we hope to be we will definitely stay here again!

Perfect equipped appartement, nice place. You can use swimming pool, sauna, whirlpool, fitness. Good equipped playing room. Fantastic view to the high mountain peaks. And you can wake up with the magic sound of the church bells 😉 Mrs. Melanie is very kind, with the smile on the face. I can fully recommend this place, especially this appartements.

Very comfortable, immaculate apartment. Very well appointed, had everything we needed. Host was very friendly and spoke very good English. Beautiful village with several restaurants and very good SPAR shop right next door to accommodation. We'll be back!

Excellent stay in St Jakob. Comfortable apartment, well equipped kitchen. Supermarket and bus stop just across the street. The swimming pool in the back was great to relax after a long hike.

We loved this hotel and will use it again, the setting was...
We loved this hotel and will use it again, the setting was beautiful with fir trees both. Sides of the road. All the essentials are there, large spar supermarket, fuel station which was a very reasonable price. 4 restaurants, one we had lunch in, which we could see and a bank. There are regular buses but we did not use them. Daytime was between 28 - 31 degrees, in the valley it was cooler which made it easier to sleep. The rides out on our motorbike were fantastic. It’s a short trip to Italy with some fantastic twisty winding roads with hairpin bends, we did both passes, you are closed to the Grossglockner from the south a fantastic trip. The Kals am Grossglockner, the water fall on the way, the 5euro road (private road) to Schliederlerhof, twisty, winding, hairpin road and a great lunch at the top. There were many people there walking the trails. Our last trip was to Weissensee (white lake) swimming lake, the on up the mountain to kaiser Franz Josef monument, up to the top and down the other side into Weissbriach for a late lunch. We would not avoid anything is was just very beautiful.

Beautiful views of mountains, nice roads, even several skiing resorts for about only 25min away by car.
Keep in mind that roads can be difficult during winter, i suggest on having tire chains of any kind.

Moos is a smaller town/village, next to Sexten.
Moos is a smaller town/village, next to Sexten. It is a perfect location, if you want to stay near the slopes but want to avoid traffic. There are a few shops, cafes and bakeries, so you can get the essentials you need and the slopes are near.

Small mountain village for those who are looking for a calm...
Small mountain village for those who are looking for a calm place to breath, walk and enjoy drinking the fresh water. Very good supermarket (Spar) in the centre, good prices, good products. A nice pizzeria but otherwise it is better to head couple km further from the centre in order to find a good restaurant. Lot of paths for walking (yourself and your dog), biking and just relax.
10 min drive towards a lovely lake of Obersee and about 40 min drive to lively city of Lienz. Beautiful and clean!!!
