We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The owner was not only thoughtful and attentive, but also very warm and approachable on a personal level, which made our stay even more pleasant. One of the highlights was enjoying breakfast on the rooftop terrace with a stunning view. We would gladly stay here again!

    Best gem in the whole country! If you want to visit Albania, staying here is a must! The beautiful hotel is in the center of the county (Vlore), perfect location to be able to drive and visit all other Albanian sights. The staff was amazing! We have never experienced such attention and great customer service. From Marilyn at the from desk who showed us 2 rooms and asked us which one was our preference, to Clyed and Artemisa who were so attentive at the bar and at dinner service. The room was spacious, with a great comfy bed and super strong aircon. We even had a wrap around balcony overlooking Adriatic Sea with the most gorgeous sunsets every night. The food was to die for!! We ate lunch and dinner at the hotel almost every day. Amazing selection and so delicious. Try the Fish Soup! It's was mazing and my favorite... I still need that recipe. The Hotel decoration was so lovely, The pool area was a dream with it's infinity pool, you would think you where in Bali. Everything was clean and well maintained. Great parking right on sight as well. Overall great value for money, great staff, great stay! Don't doubt it and book here! We already miss it.

    The hotel is amazing, it has new and very clean facilities. It has two pools, one with hot water and the one outside with normal water. The breakfast is varied and delicious. The rooms are incredible, the bed feels like home. The staff is amazing. I recommend this hotel to relax and enjoy the sea. It is ideal for the family.

    We loved Saranda! We were there in the shoulder season, which was nice as it was less crowded. Still plenty to do and nice weather most of the time. Nice assortment of bars and restaurants, great beaches, nice people.

    It is a beautiful city right on the coast and much more beautiful than Durres or Tirana. The promenade is a great place to walk, sip a drink and people watch. Vlore center is small but very pretty. Love Vlore for its vibes and people.

    Ksamil is emerging as a tourist destination & the centre of the town at least seems to have opted to cater for those who prefer loud music / water activities on the beaches. That said, there is a good selection of bars & restaurants both in the centre of the town and on the main road into it. The hotel in which we stayed (Area Hotel) was excellent. Public transport is ok - there is a bus every 30 mins to Sarande or Butrint BUT it is packed & an experience in itself! Fares are 150 Lek (1.5 euro) each way. Taxis are available but cost approx 30 euro each way. Although card payment is accepted in most restaurants / hotels etc, it seems as though cash is king in Albania. Local currency (Lek) can be accessed once you're in the country by changing euro at one of the many exchanges.

    We really liked Livadhi beach.

    We really liked Livadhi beach. It is not too large, was quiet when we visited (late September), and has beautiful views. It is a pebble beach, so can be a bit challenging to get into the sea. The water was clear and had a very nice temperature. There are several restaurants and bars, as well as some small supermarkets where you can get essentials if you want to cook yourself. For eating out, I recommend Dimitri's, which is at the entry to the beach. Great food (Greek inspired), very reasonable prices and efficient service. We did visit the main strip of Himare one evening but were not impressed. Could be anywhere (Greece, Spain etc.) and the food we had was average at best.

    Qeparo is a charming little village with a lovely "shetitore" (promenade) perfect for evening walks along the beach. The village stretches along the coast, offering breathtaking views and crystal-clear waters, though you'll need to walk a few steps to reach the shore. We had no trouble finding a sunbed without reservations, and the food was delicious and fairly priced—highly recommend restaurants Poseidon and Te Stefi! The only downside was the lack of trash bins along the promenade, which left the walking path a bit messy. This is definitely an area that could be improved. Overall, a peaceful, beautiful spot with great food and friendly vibes.

    The owners seemed to make the effort to provide with help and assistance, despite the lack of quality in the aspects below. For the price you pay in high season which was 45 EUR per night, of course you don't expect luxury, but some basics should be in place: - 1st of all, the photos used in Booking.com were all from the 2nd building they manage, and don't correspond with the room booked at least on 50%. - the power plugs were a hazard to be aware(when you're travelling with a toddler). - the electric stove provided was almost at half meter height, a constant danger for toddlers. - the air con could be put on only by plugging in the plug and it was configured to the coldest temperature, very annoying to deal with it during the night. - hygiene could've improved: closet was dirty on the top, full of dust, the bathroom super-small. - when I asked for a sponge and dishwashing lotion, the owner told me that I was the 1st ever to ask for that. What? You put a kitchen.

    The owner was very responsive. The apartment had everything from kitchenware to WiFi ,free parking and quiet area. It is very close to Vlora city and Rradhima. The closest beach is 2-minutes driving, or 7-10 minutes waking.

    If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! Hotel Amare in Palasë exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the attention to detail was evident — everything was spotless, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully designed. The cleanliness was impeccable, and every corner of the hotel felt fresh and welcoming. The food? Absolutely delicious! Every meal was a highlight, showcasing fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. But what truly set this place apart was the hospitality. The owner went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our experience memorable. It’s rare to find a place that combines such high standards of service, comfort, and charm. Hotel Amare has become one of my absolute favorite places in Palasë.     Lukovë is a small, cozy village 20km from Sarandë. It is surrounded by hills with olive trees and other typical Mediterranean Plata that give off a specific and pleasant aroma. It is the perfect place for alternative tourism away from the overcrowded Ksamil and Sarandë. You can find here restaurants that serve local food, friendly and welcoming service and nice public beaches.
