The hotel has everything you need: close to the sea, great breakfast, quiet area, restaurant and markets near by, all the facilities in the room, cleaning service every day, and the most important the staff, Luciano and his family took good care of all our vacation. This is honestly one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. I’ve been to many, but this one is definitely in my top list. The interiors are beautiful, modern, and very clean, as is the whole hotel. Breakfast was really good, and most importantly, the host is an absolutely wonderful person. There are also great amenities for women, such as a proper hairdryer and good lighting for makeup. I truly recommend this place with all my heart and will definitely come back!

Clean, cossy, quiet hotel with a very good location. Personel was nice and helpful in regards to lical restaurants and beaches. Breakfast was more or less the same, with small variations but very good. Would love to come back.

We stayed in November so we were totally aware it was out of...

We stayed in November so we were totally aware it was out of season and there would be limited options. We enjoyed the quiet streets and there was still a small selection of restaurants open. We also went swimming, the water was cool but still enjoyable. For us Ksamil was perfect in November but I would caution that you must be prepared for a very relaxing and quiet experience.

Ksamil is emerging as a tourist destination & the centre of...

Ksamil is emerging as a tourist destination & the centre of the town at least seems to have opted to cater for those who prefer loud music / water activities on the beaches. That said, there is a good selection of bars & restaurants both in the centre of the town and on the main road into it. The hotel in which we stayed (Area Hotel) was excellent. Public transport is ok - there is a bus every 30 mins to Sarande or Butrint BUT it is packed & an experience in itself! Fares are 150 Lek (1.5 euro) each way. Taxis are available but cost approx 30 euro each way. Although card payment is accepted in most restaurants / hotels etc, it seems as though cash is king in Albania. Local currency (Lek) can be accessed once you're in the country by changing euro at one of the many exchanges.

Ksamil is a very beautiful resort with numerous stunning...

Ksamil is a very beautiful resort with numerous stunning beaches and crystal-clear azure waters. There are plenty of quality restaurants offering delicious food at reasonable prices. The only drawback is that almost all beach spots are paid, meaning you need to pay for sunbeds and umbrellas. The cheapest spots started at around €15 for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella, while more premium locations charged €30 to €40 per set. Luxury cabana-style spots could cost up to €70 per day. Almost everywhere accepted euros, so it was not necessary to exchange money into the local currency. Alternatively, you could pay in euros and receive change in the local currency (Albanian lek). On average, €1 was equivalent to about 95–96 lek.
