We loved that place - wonderful place and wonderful people. We enjoyed our stay very much. Our hosts were always kind and helpful, the best ones :), they made us feel at home. We had a beautiful sea view and lots of beautiful beaches nearby (some of them just across the street). The list of interesting places and activities, that our host Luciano had prepared, helped us a lot. We would come back for sure. Faleminderit for everything! ;)

We had a wonderful stay at Elio’s Room. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The location is perfect, right in the center, just steps from Poda Beach, supermarkets, restaurants, and bars. The highlight was definitely the stunning sunset view from the hotel, which made our stay unforgettable. We were really happy and amazed by the experience. We’ll definitely come back, highly recommended!

Lans hotel is perched on a hill with breathtaking views of the sea. The location was perfect offering a peaceful escape while still being close to the beautiful beaches. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. My room was clean spacious and had a stunning view of the sunset every evening. The hotel also had a fantastic breakfast buffet with a wide variety of delicious foods especially albanian specialties and beside that they can make you whatever you wish for. I had a truly memorable time and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and picturesque getaway in Ksamil.

We stayed in November so we were totally aware it was out of...

We stayed in November so we were totally aware it was out of season and there would be limited options. We enjoyed the quiet streets and there was still a small selection of restaurants open. We also went swimming, the water was cool but still enjoyable. For us Ksamil was perfect in November but I would caution that you must be prepared for a very relaxing and quiet experience.

Ksamil is emerging as a tourist destination & the centre of...

Ksamil is emerging as a tourist destination & the centre of the town at least seems to have opted to cater for those who prefer loud music / water activities on the beaches. That said, there is a good selection of bars & restaurants both in the centre of the town and on the main road into it. The hotel in which we stayed (Area Hotel) was excellent. Public transport is ok - there is a bus every 30 mins to Sarande or Butrint BUT it is packed & an experience in itself! Fares are 150 Lek (1.5 euro) each way. Taxis are available but cost approx 30 euro each way. Although card payment is accepted in most restaurants / hotels etc, it seems as though cash is king in Albania. Local currency (Lek) can be accessed once you're in the country by changing euro at one of the many exchanges.

Ksamil is a very beautiful resort with numerous stunning beaches and crystal-clear azure waters. There are plenty of quality restaurants offering delicious food at reasonable prices. The only drawback is that almost all beach spots are paid, meaning you need to pay for sunbeds and umbrellas. The cheapest spots started at around €15 for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella, while more premium locations charged €30 to €40 per set. Luxury cabana-style spots could cost up to €70 per day. Almost everywhere accepted euros, so it was not necessary to exchange money into the local currency. Alternatively, you could pay in euros and receive change in the local currency (Albanian lek). On average, €1 was equivalent to about 95–96 lek.
