I loved just sitting on my deck of my glamping tent and listen to the wind in the trees and the birds. Tents were very comfortable, good bed, beautiful bathroom and I woke up on a cold morning where I made a fire and took a warm bath, a relaxing place to be. Staff is very kind. There’s one gamedrive per day included where nature is beautiful, there are no elephants but this means beautiful trees. You can book a drive to see rock art of earlier people. Food is very good, creative with great combinations of tastes and spices. We were sad to leave.

The wood fired hot tub was a fun experience! Located on the lovely Gowan Valley Guest Farm, a gorgeous property where you can enjoy spectacular river views and forest greenery (the short Forest Walk through the property should not be missed!).

Every room at this hotel is air conditioned and features a TV with satellite channels. For your comfort, you will find free toiletries and a hairdryer. The rooms were very nice and clean. The beds were excellent and so were the pillows. Staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was brilliant. We also had dinner and that was lovely. Our main reason for staying over was to play golf and a halfway house on route to Umhlanga
