1.2 km from La Estacion Beach in Puerto Ayora, La Fortaleza De Haro features accommodation with access to a hot tub and public bath. This unique location — a fortress — offered superb accommodation for my tour group. The Tower room offered excellent opportunities for morning birdwatching; all rooms were clean; staff were very friendly and helpful with offers of maps, local sights, and opportunity for local activity bookings; breakfast was served fresh and promptly each morning; and the location is in a quieter and secure neighbourhood (El Eden). This was by far the favourite accommodation among tour guests compared with two other similarly priced locations in Galapagos (Santa Cruz and Isabela). I cannot say enough good things about La Fortaleza and look forward to returning with more guests in the future. A big thanks to hosts Gianna and Roberto!

Very nice location on a quiet side street, but real close to the docks. Breakfast is buffet style with eggs/omelette to order. Breakfast starts early, which gives you a chance to eat and still catch early day trips.

City is small, from here we all around went by foot. Owner is so nice and kind. When we came, our fringe was full with products for breakfast. It was so nice. From apartments until port is only 5-7 minutes by foot.

Maria José is truly exceptional! She was there for us 24/7, always smiling, always helpful, and made everything so easy for us. She organized tours every day to explore all the incredible places around the Galápagos, and everything was very flexible and perfectly adapted to what we wanted. Her kindness really stood out, and meeting her sweet little daughter Valentina was an absolute joy — they made us feel like part of the family. Breakfast was with delicious fresh fruit and freshly made juices every morning — such a perfect way to start the day. The place itself is wonderfully calm and peaceful, located right in the middle of the island. Puerto Ayora is only about 12 minutes away by taxi, which costs around 5–6 USD, making it very easy to get around. Overall, 10/10 — an unforgettable experience! We truly loved our stay and would come back without hesitation. Highly, highly recommended
