Superb location, amazing views. Very good breakfast. Short drive to the Royal Natal park (~30 minutes). My son loved fishing at the lake (catch & release).

Beautiful view over Drakensbergen. Location is so quiet and you can see many stars when the sky is clear. Welcome was very warm and we received a lot of information. Good shower. There’s a shared kitchen with braai. Closest restaurant at 10min drive. No shops in the neighbourhood. We did the Gorge trail which was fantastic. Take plenty of water with you during hot days!

This is a lovely location and lovely chalets. After a small problem in our initial chalet, we were promptly upgraded to a better one. The staff were very helpful and courteous.

I loved just sitting on my deck of my glamping tent and listen to the wind in the trees and the birds. Tents were very comfortable, good bed, beautiful bathroom and I woke up on a cold morning where I made a fire and took a warm bath, a relaxing place to be. Staff is very kind. There’s one gamedrive per day included where nature is beautiful, there are no elephants but this means beautiful trees. You can book a drive to see rock art of earlier people. Food is very good, creative with great combinations of tastes and spices. We were sad to leave.

Berghouse and Cottages is situated in a rural setting, high up in the Northern Drakensberg Hills, 30 km from Bergville. Free WiFi is available in each cottage.
