The hostel itself is lovely, and they planned many fun free/low cost activities like a salsa/bachata class and a pisco sour making class. There are many relaxed social spaces throughout the hostel to make new friends, and the private room was very cozy and comfortable. The location is great and very central to main tourist attractions in Cusco.

The location is perfect, we have made this place a base camp for three nights, and visited all the sites nearby - salt mines in Maras, Ollantaytambo and many others. The place is spotless, spacious, they offer great breakfast and dinner, Claudia is an amazing chef 👩‍🍳. You can also enjoy sauna and yoga, but we didnt manage this time. It is super quite at night, and who knows, maybe you also run into their super wellbehaved pets - Max and Tupac 🐶 🦙 thank you so so so much!!! Wendy & Ondrej

The owners - Helga and Romulo - are some of the most loving and helpful people I met during my travels. Even when I lost my purse and passport they did everything to help me to get it back, which I did eventually. I really liked the location, quiet and very close to nature and the ancient sites. Romulo even gave me a little tour around the sites. They also gave me a hot-water bottle every night because it was a bit cold. Two super lovely humans. Thanks so much, would definitely coming back!

Featuring mountain views, Refugio de Mery Lucmabamba offers accommodation with a garden and a terrace, around 19 km from Machu Picchu Historic Sanctuary. This bed and breakfast is 19 km from Manuel Chavez Ballon Museum. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and Huayna Picchu is 17 km away. What a fantastic place. Yes it is a little hike up a hill, but we were received with warmth from the owners and a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. Three of us stayed in the refugios, and our two camping mateswithout a booking were given a safe place to pitch a tent. The rooms were extremely comfy, with many blankets and had an emsuite bathroom with endless hot water. Outside the room is a lovely balcony with massage rollers, exactly what was needed this stage in the trek. The food was the best food I have had on salkantay, very veg and vegan friendly. There are coffee tours on site and a little store that sells the cheapest bread and fresh fruit/veg.when we left Mery gave us all Oreos and a banana for the road.

This recently renovated campground is located 28 km from Nogalpampa Stadium and 29 km from Main Square. The accommodation provides airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. THE owners are husband and wife and they are delightful. Still improving and keen to get better but the view and family atmosphere with dogs and cats. small children and resident alpacas and Llamas roaming around made it memorable. Joelle the owner even drove us back down to Chincero for free.
