Located near Orton, Westmorland Hotel Tebay offers en suite accommodation with superfast WiFi access throughout and parking facilities free of charge. Everything. Room, service and food were excellent. Very attentive and pleasant staff. Particularly one young man who served drinks when we arrived and then breakfast on Sunday morning

A 5-minute drive from Bassenthwaite Lake, Ravenstone Manor is an 19th-century manor house set in 3 hectares of ground. The property is at the foot of Skiddaw, overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake. Very clean and comfortable. We also took one if the recommended walks.

It was so peaceful and the views were beautiful. The hot tub as well as the pod was spotless, plus you had towels for the bathroom and separate ones for the hot tub.

The whole House presented excellent very new and fresh. A large residence with plenty of room. We stayed as a family of five , but I could see it bringing comfortable for more people. The touches of family friendly games were adored by my children. A full size Washing Maxhine with a separate dryer is a great addition. Combo washer/dryers are ok but seem to take a lot longer. We had an issue with transport and ended up arriving quite late. Which I am now disappointed I did not get the full experience. NOTE: We arrived almost 7 hours after our scheduled check in. The host was exceptional in accommodating our late arrival. I cannot praise Gillian enough.
