The location was wonderful, there are no beaches, but you can get in the water through docks with stairs. The lake is so clear! Unfortunately, we were in one of the few rooms with no balcony and no view. There was construction going on a property a few houses away so this woke us up if we had the window open. There are lots of jogging/walking trails and places to chill by the water. It's worth the expense for a special occasion as a middle-class person, it is on the very expensive side. For the two nights, we stayed there, we did feel like royalty.

Family-run since 4 generations, Landgasthof Seelust is located on the banks of Lake Constance, a 10-minute drive from St. Gallen and a 20-minute drive from Konstanz. There are no televisions in the hotel rooms. we didn’t find this a problem. The food was excellent at the restaurant and the hotel has its own micro brewery. The staff were excellent and very attentive. It is a lovely location in the country and has activities, such as an open-air play and it also put some musical events from time to time

Exposed wooden beams, parquet or carpet flooring, lots of natural daylight and elegant design furniture are features of the spacious suites at Schloss Brunnegg. Some of them feature lake view. It was a pleasure and also an honor to stay in a castle with a so long history. We liked the kindness of the hosts, the great parking opportunities and travelling with a dog it was nice to have dog friendly walking areas nearby.
