The hotel is 600 metres from the First Cable Car Station and lies 100m above the centre of Grindelwald. Its rooms and sun terrace have magnificent views of the surrounding scenery. It also features a unique spa area in the goats' stable. The property faces Eiger (mountain/glacier) and having breakfast facing this every morning while the FIRST gondolas pass by and paragliders land on the field next to the hotel is pure Swiss magic. The location bypasses the town buzzing with tourists as it sits 100 meters in elevation above the town- avoiding the congestion of a popular destination. It does however have a walking path into town but, coming back up could be challenging if you’re tired. By the way, we did enjoy the pavlova dessert at the hotel restaurant!

Situated in the heart of the Jungfrau Region, the hotel is just a 10-minute walk from Wengen train station and a 5-minute walk from the Männlichen cable car station. Breakfast is wonderful. All rooms feature air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, radio and a desk. All rooms have a private bathroom. The garden terrace provides a splendid view of the famed Mount Virgin. The property was lovely, quintessentially Swiss and yet modern facilities. Rooms had plenty of space and were so comfortable. We loved the property. Staff were so obliging and helpful. More than happy help with luggage up and down the stairs as there was no elevator due to age of building, The breakfast was delicious and we also dined in the restaurant one evening and it was delicious and very reasonable. Rooms were air conditioned and having access to washing machine, drier and iron for a few francs was great. Location very handy…. Bus stop right outside. I would highly recommend Hotel Hirschen.

During the summer months the outdoor swimming pool is a great place to relax while your children have fun on the playground, in the games rooms, or on the electric car track. Beautiful location, gorgeous hotel with friendly staff. The private spa is a perfect little added extra.

I had such amazing conversations with the staff members here. It's clear how much they also love the outdoors and their passion for the Alps. The hotel has great modern facilities. It smell cleans and nice all the time. The view was fantastic. I'd stay here again if I return to Grindelwald 100%.

The aparthotel has family rooms as well as facilities for disabled guests. This place was incredible. The rooms were so comfortable and everything is very new and well thought out. The staff were all very kind. The location was super nice and the views beautiful. Our kids loved their bunk room. Stay before the prices jump! What a hidden gem!
