We had a short trip around Europe, going through Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy and then back to Bulgaria. The kids were impressed by a handful of things during the trip and one of those on top of their list was our short stay at Sežana! I've read all the reviews on Booking.com and I thought it was just a bit too good to be true - a rating this high is rare to see these days. After staying for a night, not only do I understand why this property is rated so high, but I also think it's not rated high enough. It deserves a perfect 10 and no less! I won't repeat everything else that guests have said, I will just confirm it's all true.

We’ve previously stayed in another accommodation with 2 rooms, but our “smaller” single room in hotel Prunk felt more spacious and had enough room for our bags and clothes. The location may not look anything special, but you’ll be able to get to Trieste or the Miramare castle as well as other interesting destinations in Slovenia easily. We’ve also found it very convenient to have the parking lot right in the front of the building.

The apartment at Guesthouse Muha was excellent. The host confirmed breakfast times on arrival, provided advice on local eateries, and assisted where requied. Apartment was very roomy and comfortable. Breakfast was great on both mornings. Strongly recommend.

This is actually a review for the Hotel Malovec-same owner, but they moved me over to the hotel when I checked in; it’s about a 3-minute walk down the street. Absolutely lovely, comfortable room, very clean, lovely bathroom, great water pressure in the shower. The included breakfast was completely out of this world. So if you’re reading this, and trying to decide between Guesthouse Risnik and Hotel Malovec, I can’t speak to the guesthouse, but knowing what I know now I would absolutely spend the 25 extra euros to stay at Malovec. Even for the breakfast alone.

    The hotel is great, right beside the entrance of the studs. It's modern, with a large parking place, and the room was really huge, we booked the suite, worth it! Excellent breakfast, comfortable bed and best shower ever. Pet friendly.

    Great location, modern room with all facilities, very comfy bed, all room have balconies and the view was nice, it's in the middle of nature so it gives a great feeling waking up and going out on that terrace. Pet friendly which is a big plus for me. Very good breakfast. Bonus -hotel guests get a 10% discount when visiting the nearby horse farm.
