After 10 days backpacking around Sri Lanka, Maritime Nest was the perfect place to relax for a few quiet days. The cabanas are newly built, well equipped and very clean and comfortable. The gardens and pool are delightful and the food at Panchi restaurant is excellent. The breakfasts, in particular, are delicious and plentiful. Most importantly we were made to feel very welcome and were looked after extremely well. Madura, his family and great team of staff were fabulous hosts. Madura made helpful suggestions for local sights and activities and was always responsive to our queries. We particularly enjoyed visiting the local Turtle Sanctuary, a mindful and ethical way to experience these amazing creatures. The beautiful almost deserted beach can be reached via a short track and, whilst the sea is too rough for swimming, there is a delightful rock pool nearby. Very highly recommended.​ Thank you to Madura and his team of staff - we wish you every success with your new business.

The privacy of having the entire 3rd floor for ourselves with kitchen, living room and balcony. Was such a great experience! Location was good for us! It is a 5 minutes walk from a beautiful beach and a few minutes away from other beaches and attractions by scooter or tuk tuk. On top of it, the owner and his family are beautiful people. We loved it.

One of the best experiences in Sri lanka trip within 3 weeks. Amazing place, not only appartment but all Rekava. Definately one of the most underrated places in Sri lanka. If you are in doubts - you definately should go there. Peace, silence, nature, ocean, turtles, amazing people - this is Rekava. Lookout lodge is excelent accomodation - new house, all clean and comfy, perfect location near the beach and turtle watch center. Good restaurant nearby (reccomended by Chami). Excelent breakfast and peacefull conversations with owner. We felt like home there and all our wishes were fulfilled with smile. And - there is a pool now - we where the first users and it is great. Appriciated by our boys. Sorry that we booked just 2 nights there, would have liked to stay at least a couple more days. Large, comfortable rooms with excellent aircon. Beautiful grounds with peacocks and monkeys and shy kittens roaming around. Excellent location less than ten minute walk down to Silent beach and a couple of local restaurants enroute. Would stay again!

O, where to begin… the host was extraordinary kind and helpful. Welcomed us with all smiles and fresh juice. Traditional Sri Lanka breakfast was prepared daily. The host took us on a sea turtle excursion and taught us the meaning of real patience. We witnessed three sea turtles laying eggs. Unforgettable.

Easily the best accommodation we have had on our one month long trip through the island. Incredibly friendly staff, amazing affordable local food optiones (that you can even pre-order so it's ready at a certain time) situated right by the ocean and next to a huge lagoon (that you can also swim in and explore with their kayaks for free). The rooms are clean, spacious and with a great view. After staying for 2 nights we came back for an additional 2 nights at the end of our trip since we like it so much. Especially at that price, there is probably no other resort nearby that can top this place in my opinion.

Our one-night stay at this villa was truly enjoyable. The property is only about 100 meters from the beach, so it was easy to walk over and enjoy the sea breeze whenever we wanted. The villa itself is very spacious, nicely designed, and kept very clean. It offered a perfect mix of comfort and privacy. The large swimming pool was the highlight — sparkling clean, well-maintained, and big enough to really enjoy a proper swim, not just a quick dip. We spent a lot of time relaxing by the poolside, which made our stay even more special. What impressed us most was the peaceful atmosphere. The area is calm and quiet, away from crowds, yet still close enough to the beach and local surroundings. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help, which made the whole experience smooth and pleasant. Even though we only stayed one night, it felt like a refreshing getaway. This villa is perfect for both short and long stays, and we would definitely choose it again in the future.
