Property is awesome and helpful staff room is clean and comfortable. Breakfast is tasty come together with fresh fruits. Dinner also Excellent. The villa silence at night and i have peaceful sleep. Beautiful and grennery garden where you can relax and enjoy the fresh air. A large bedroom with AC a good bathroom. Kitchen. Dining room. Blacony. They also have 2 bikes free of charge. You have 2 minutes to the supermarket 7 minutes waliking to the Talalla Beach. Feels just like home super comfortable! Absolutely recommended

This place has an amazing location, perfect for relaxing. The beach is quiet and peaceful, making it a great spot to unwind. The outdoor space is fantastic—you can spend hours just enjoying the atmosphere. A lovely family runs this place, and they offer delicious homemade food in their restaurant. They also provide snorkeling masks, so you can spend hours in the water watching the beautiful fish. It’s a perfect spot to enjoy the sea and the beauty of southern Sri Lanka!

The family was incredibly kind and helpful! We were given drinks upon arrival, they made breakfeast for us, and they did our laundry. They were also very helpful with understanding the buses, and they told us, where to go and which beaches to see! The house is beautiful, the room was large and nice, and the shared kitchen was well equipped and clean. Our room didn’t have a private bathroom, but we had a shared bathroom in another building very close. It was small, but it worked very well, and we had no problems with it!

It was the best place that i’ve stayed in Sri Lanka whole month. Very nice people i am sure that you are gonna love them. Fantastic garden with a beautiful pool and also you can swim the sea that is located near the garden. Best ! Amazing !

Really nice accommodation and even nicer family who hosted - they were super friendly, helped me rent a scooter and even drove me to pick it up. The room was great and kitchen facilities were nice and clean. Definitely recommend.

An Authentic Stay with a Heartfelt Purpose I recently stayed at Sheru Guest in Matara, and it was truly a memorable experience. Owned by a warm, welcoming Catholic family, Sheru Guest supports the local community by contributing a portion of its earnings to aid underprivileged families in the area. It was wonderful to know that my stay was part of something meaningful, helping fund education, healthcare, and essentials for those in need. The location is ideal for exploring southern Sri Lanka, with Polhena Beach just a short distance away, perfect for snorkeling and enjoying the calm waters. Mirissa is also close by, offering exciting whale-watching tours. The guesthouse itself is peaceful, clean, and thoughtfully maintained. While they don’t serve meals, great local dining options are just a short walk away, making it easy to explore Sri Lankan cuisine. Overall, Sheru Guest provided me with a genuine cultural experience and a sense of home. It’s perfect for travelers who want an affordable, impactful, and authentic stay in Sri Lanka. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Matara.
