Pet-friendly hotels and homes in Pegognaga

We had a fantastic holiday at Corte Croce, the house is beautiful, every room feels huge with lots of original features and furniture, even the original solid fuel range his parents used to cook on, although there is a modern cooker adjacent. It is the most spacious property we have ever rented and has everything, including a games room with a football table for the kids - and grown ups. Giulio is a wonderful host, he speaks perfect English, and gave us the warmest welcome we could ask for. Nothing is too much for him, he’s at the end of the phone for any query or advice of where to visit. From the welcome pack of food and wine to condiments, olive oil, balsamic, dishwasher tablets, toiletries, all of those bits and bobs you expect to have to buy yourself, were provided. The grounds around the house are very spacious, a huge terrace and garden with mature trees for shade, lawns to relax, or play on, and surrounded by farmland makes this the perfect place to relax in peace and quiet, listen to the birds and the rustle of leaves on the trees. We found the house the perfect location for exploring the surrounding area. Modena, the home of balsamic vinegar had a fabulous food hall with everything fresh you can imagine available. Fresh porcini mushrooms, local Parmesan, 20 year old balsamic vinegar, prosciutto, we were in food heaven. In one corner of the hall you can sit and sample local food, we highly recommended the taster menu at Monari, who also have a separate counter for balsamic tasting. Within easy reach are Lake Garda, Verona, the city of love, Bologna, Parma (book a visit to a Parmesan Reggiano dairy) and don’t miss the lesser-known Mantova, a small, but very beautiful town. A little further, but still less than 2 hours drive is Venice, a must-see venue on anybody’s bucket list. We fell in love with it’s beauty, grandeur and wandered for hours from stunning monuments to fascinating quiet canals and coffee shops in residential districts. A perfect holiday

We went to visit family and this was a cute perfect place more of a guest house has 8 rooms and 3 parking spaces in the vicinity was clean safe and smelled amazing , the rooms were spacious and clean and Federica our host was amazing although we didn’t get up for breakfast she would WhatsApp me to ask if i needed anything I asked for iron and she sent one to my room , I got a chance to meet Federica the first day and last day and she was lovely thank you for being attentive ! I wish the checkout was later it’s 10:30 am but it was fine. I would definitely stay again Great location and clean and safe and just looked soo cute all yellow from outside xxx

A perfect find. Modern, spacious, comfortable, in the recently restored historic 14th century Uberti Palazzo, in the central square, facing the Ducal Palace, adjacent to Mantova’s Duomo. Highly recommended.

I was waiting to write this feedback, after my stay in this place. One thing, which makes it special, is that I became first guest of this hotel. Patrizia (the owner of the place), great me personally and showed all the facilities. I really liked the place. It is not an usual type of B&B, but rather family style, very comfortable and nice. It mixes old style of Italian houses (with high sealing, and traditional old ceiling beams with quite modern Indonesian design doors and bathroom facilities. The bed under the canopy is marvelous (gives you feeling of protection and security). The bed, in general, is very comfortable. There is a common are for 3 rooms, with kitchen, big table and other facilities, which makes it a nice place for some evening discussions, table games, etc. I am not describing facilities itself simply because it has everything needed, starting from needed quantities of towels ending up with cups, tea pots, etc. I will definitely be back to this place if I will be in this area. Very much appreciated my state and would recommend this place for everyone who plans to be in that area. By the way, it is quote close to Mantova (about 30 minutes drive), so could be good place to spent a night or two :) Enjoy the state. Thank you Patrizia!
