Loved the hot tubs outside. Definitely book a courtyard room so you can walk straight out of your bathroom to the hot tubs. Sat in the tubs and saw the aurora borealis so it was very special.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, so for me, this was the best accommodation we had in Iceland. Sure enough, I am aware that not everybody will find this perfect, but for us it was. In fact, I liked it so much that now I want to build my own cottage at home :)

This place is magical! the view was amazing! The kids went down the road and pet the horses. We reserved a 2 bedroom and they gave us a 3br. it was spacious with plenty or room for all our stuff. It was nice to spread out of the couch and relax after a day of exploring. It is very close to the geysers, thermal baths and other attractions of the golden circle. The hot tub was very hot, and we enjoyed it. We brought towels and bathrobes, there were no extra towels for the hot tub. We didn't try asking for any, so I'm not sure if we could have gotten some from reception. The restaurant has a good size menu, something for everyone. There is a free pool table to use. There is a washer and dryer in the lounge area. The place also hosts camping, and camper vans so there is a hostel type vibe lounge area. by the reception that ha access to it's own hot tubs. Our cottage was not close to the restaurant/reception, but is was so quite with amazing views was didn't mind driving to get food. We could have walked, but didn't want to listen to the kids whining. We were easily able to make breakfast with the utensils provided. We got groceries when we drove out from the airport, and when we were by Secrete Lagoon. Reception had some stuff for sale, like coffee and cereal. The radiator all had hooks above then to dry cloths, I liked that. I would absolutely recommend this place. We stayed end of March.

We stayed in 12 different homes during our trip to Iceland, and this one was by far the best. With a geothermal hot tub, two bedrooms, and a cozy interior, it had everything we needed. The house is located right in the middle of nature, which was amazing.

The accommodation was great. If you are looking for absolute solitude and privacy, then this place is ideal. A well-lit house with a constant view of nature, a well-equipped kitchen. Most of South Iceland's attractions within driving distance for day trips. We enjoyed coming back to the cozy house every day. The owner is very nice and provided us with very helpfull detailed instructions for using the house that made our stay much easier and we were also allowed to use some of their food if we needed to (we came fully equiped with our own food and ingredients, so we didn´t need that, but there was this option which felt really nice). We fully recommend this accommodation, you will actually feel like at home and there is nothing you will not like about it.

Charming cabin in a remote area. Exactly what we were looking for. There was a bit of driving involved to get there, but we did not mind. Communication with the owners prior to the trip was very good, they made sure we found the cabin easily. The location is close enough for trips to the glacier lagoon, the Golden Circle, Selfoss, Vestmanneyjar island the black beach and Hella, where one can catch the highland busses for day trips into the mountainous areas. Still so much we missed to visit, so we might have to come back. Spacious rooms which are perfect for a family of 4 or 5, very comfortable beds, clean bathroom and kitchen with all necessary supplies. We could not ask for more. There even was an outdoor grill and a jacuzzi, but we did not get the chance to use it (we've been out quite a lot). And nothing beats early morning coffee on the terrace while enjoying the magnificent view and the birds singing <3
