Kacey is extremely friendly and very responsive. We enjoy our stay very much. Hospitality is top notch as she makes a point to to check in on us. It might be a bit to locate but Kacey gave good instructions. Follow it and you will get to this wonderful cottage. Breakfast is really sumptuous and big thumbs up. The selections are really one of the best we have ever had. Home made peanut granola is awesome!! Make sure to try it!!! Room is huge, clean and comfortable!!

Just loved everything about it. The staff and locals made us feel like family! Their local knowledge of the area was so helpful too. We saw places that we probably would have missed without their advice. Only wished that we could have stayed longer! The rooms, dining area etc were beautifully decorated. Everything was spot on. The house was spacious and comfortable, spotlessly clean and the facilities were clean and in good working order. The location was fabulous, 20 minutes' walk from John O'Groats, and 10 minutes from the seashore, a beautiful rocky beach. The landlady was lovely and kind, very responsive. The field just outside had a rare breed herd of sheep with the cutest lambs we were allowed to help bottle feed and pet (field rented by another farmer, also lovely).

Place had very comfy beds and all our basic needs for fridge and bathroom were met. The day we stayed, it was only us at the hostel, so it was very quiet and we had the bathroom all to ourselves. Gordon, the host was really lovely and friendly, he made sure the heating was on prior to our arrival as it was raining cats and dogs out there. PS.: place is very easy to find - no need to run around and find off beaten paths.

The location was ideal to be able to explore the area. The views from my room were great. Gordon is a perfect host and gave me ideas for places to visit during my stay. The little dog Ellie is adorable.

Gordon was the perfect host. Friendly and kind and informational about the area. The bathroom was fantastic, and the breakfast was amazing, So much choice. The room had a lovely view and the dog who i believe is called Ellie was gorgeous. Overall a very good atmosphere. A wonderful end to our NC500 journey. I cannot say enough about how great hamnavoe is. Especially when greeted by a cat outside the window in the morning
