really lovely apartment in a quiet location. the garden actually overlooks the nature reserve. we saw frogs, iguanas, capuchins and 2 anteaters just sat on the verandah outside the apartment. the apartment was very clean and well equipped. the hosts Adriana and Rodrigo were very friendly and Adriana showed us the wildlife in the garden. Fabian, who works for the hosts, took us on a wonderful canoe trip along the river and channels and pointed out loads of wildlife. he's very knowledgeable and also so friendly. he also took us on a walk through the reserve, which was really interesting and pointed out so much wildlife, he's so enthusiastic, it was a joy to accompany him. you can arrange tours with him through the accommodation.

The hotel was located on the outskirts of town looking right at the jungle. We were greeted by a monkey jumping on the roof. From the balcony we could watch plants and animals including loads of hummingbirds. The hotel consisted of a few little buildings connected by a pathway trough a beautiful maintained (but still natural) garden. The room itself felt luxurious and had an AC. At night we fell asleppt to the sounds of nightlife. Gabriel, who picked us up at the docks, arranged three tours for us - one of which (kanu trip) he gave himself. The hosts alltogether were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially a lady who bought tickets for the national park for us when our card didn't work for a moment and recommended things to do for the next stop of our vacation. Jairo, an exremly knowledgable and enthousiastic tour guide, who did the night walk with us, walked us back to our hotel when the power in the city went out for a night and even let us borrow the flashlights for the room. All in all - from the room, nature and people - our stay was exceptional and we can only recommend staying there!

This is probably the nicest place I have stayed at during my stay at Costa Rica. You basically have a whole flat to yourself, which is well equipped, spotless clean and seems to be pretty new. The location is perfect, the owner was lovely. You really can’t go wrong with this place!

If you want to escape the confused wandering bands of German and French tourists at least for a little while, stay on the ocean side. This place has a much appreciated feeling of seclusion, and the sound of the ocean at night is worth the price.

Really nice place that had everything we could have hoped for. Room was clean, shower was nice, aircondition was very good, and the garden was really nice! The host helped arrange tours and transportation, which made our stay in Tortuguero perfect. Great value for money. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Location really good and central to tortugeuro. The house has Wi-Fi which was great. The air conditioning in the room it was situated in worked perfectly. The host provided towels for us which was very appreciated and left fresh bananas and mangoes.
