Welcoming and friendly staff who cooked breakfast and dinner as we like it. The secluded location off the beaten track. As we were early in the season, we had the whole resort for ourselves (the staff left during the day and the night, which felt a bit strange during the first night as we wondered whether we were safe).

The location was good as it was close to the beach and not far from the town. The views from the terrace and pool were amazing and proved a great vantage point for watching the birds and wildlife of the surrounding area. The staff were warm and welcoming; nothing was too much trouble. We felt relaxed and comfortable there and we're sad to leave. Thanks to everyone

Amazing place, great amenities, great pool. During the night you can really see all the stars. The host Erin, is a wonderful host. We kind of got stuck in the middle of the night on our way there since we had some issues with the car rental. The host came for the rescue and picked us up in the middle of the night. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

Cute, well appointed, brand new cabins as of 2022. Remote, but well stocked with electric hot plate and pot, coffee and coffee maker, and mini fridge. And a nice little pool! Definitely don't recommend driving through Hojancha unless you're up for a fairly bumpy/off-road experience. Instead, go through Santa Rita - same amount of time from Nicoya, but way smoother!

Set in Carrillo in the Guanacaste region, Casa Taupe has a garden. The property features river and garden views, and is 2.7 km from Camaronal Beach.

It’s incredibly clean, the breakfast was absolutely top notch (given that it was free) and Roberto was a very welcoming host. The location is 3 minutes walk to Carrillo Beach which is more beautiful than Samara beach anyways. We‘d come back any time!

The room was really amazing, in each detail. Walk distance to the beach (5 min). Everything was perfect!
