I had the most amazing and relaxing stay at Casa Kolibri, better than I could have hoped (even judging by the overwhelmingly positive reviews that I read before coming). The house is divine, and the rooms gorgeously decorated. It’s set in the most gorgeous green surroundings, and the property has chickens, pigs, and the most incredible butterflies and birds. It is set on the edge of a lake which you can admire from the seating on the muelle, or go for a kayak with Maria’s kayak (probably the highlight of my trip). The natural pool is also lovely and not too cold, and the poolside loungers perfect for reading or relaxing. Maria was a gem, reaching out before my arrival to make sure everything was perfect, making the effort to speak in English with me, and even picking me up and dropping me back off at Pacho bus station for my bus to Bogotá. Ana was also incredible, she was so attentive the entire time, and made the nicest food (they happily made vegan food for me, which was some of the tastiest I have ever had here in Colombia). The incredible location and house, combined with Maria and Ana’s hospitality make this such a unique and enjoyable place to stay, I would recommend it to anyone and go back in a heartbeat! Really good place to stay, the host is lovely and makes sure everything is in place. The room and the view from the balcony are great, perfect for the weather and the town. Close to the center but far enough not to be woken up by the night noices.
