I was very impressed with the family who hosted me. Upon arriving in Sheki, I got lost in town, so my landlord (Afgan) came out to meet me and helped carry my heavy bag into the house. His wife (Naza), as soon as I crossed the door of the house, hosted me with delicious tea. Every day I had such good conversations with them that I didn't want to leave for the city :) Naza is a great cook, so every morning there was a delicious breakfast waiting for guests, and in the afternoon or evening you could also order an extra meal. I drank dozens of teas with them and chatted for hours, both with them and with other travellers who were hosted in their home. Afghan helped me tremendously with money exchange (I had rubles and they did not accept them in banks), went with me to buy local specialities, and gave all kinds of advice and suggestions. Apart from that, the house is clean, well-maintained and the hosts are very welcoming - Naza and Afgan would give you their heart! I just didn't want to leave....

It was a very enjoyable stay! The owner was willing to accommodate us on short notice, which was really helpful. The place was clean, located in walking distance to everything. Central location close to main attractions, restaurants and supermarkets in the area. Assim the owner would WhatsApp you locations to all of that. He would do his best to help you with info, give recommendations, arrange for taxis, and register you for migration office if needed. Be careful you will instantly fall in love with his little toddler Timor and it would be hard to leave. The hostel is cozy and clean.

The place is clean, comfortable and nicely located – around 5 minutes walk from the Caravanserai. Ilgar, the host, is a very helpful, talkative and friendly person, one of the best hosts I ever met 😊 He speaks good English and has good knowledge about Seki – both practical (buses, marshrutkas, etc) and historical (about the area's history, palace, ...).

This is a family style hotel with different types of rooms to choose from. We were very happy during our stay. There’s a beautiful garden with comfortable couches outdoors, very nice environment. The beds are very comfortable, the linen sheets are of higher quality than most good hotels. The air conditioning works great. We appreciate the hearted design of the room and the private bathroom. There’s a separate kitchen we can use to prepare our dinner. The host Orkhan is super welcoming and attentive with good knowledge about where to visit in Sheki.

    An Insta-worthy place, but it would be great if the toilet seats were fixed to the toilet. The decor is over the top, in a fun, tongue-in-cheek way. (At least I hope they're in on the joke.) The house was thumping when we arrived in the evening. The shower was excellent, and the breakfast was also very good. Location was close to the historic Old Town.
