This was a fantastic stay at the property! The owner, Kelly made all possible effort to make it special - you can expect a great, heart warming welcoming and fantastic experience during your stay. It starts with small snacks, hotel size diapers like body wash or lotion etc. so you almost do not need anything for your stay until a wonderful breakfasts we have got. There is no better way to start a day but with tasty home made breakfast and coffee with freshly (daily!) made muffins! As Kelly noticed that we prefer cappuccino she brought her own coffee machine to make us one. She even has a plan to change the back garden and add jacuzzi so watch the space. Huge thanks for a great stay Kelly and see you again during our trip to Hilo!

Honestly, we didn’t want to leave this place, it felt like home from the moment we arrived. The room is huge, with plenty of space and a cozy living area where you can truly relax. Everything was immaculate. The property is beautifully maintained, with a pool and a lovely terrace where you can enjoy a peaceful breakfast. We didn’t have much time to get to know the owners since they were out of town for most of our stay, but the few interactions we had were warm and friendly. The location is perfect. The property is in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood just 10–15 minutes from downtown Hilo. At first, we were unsure about not being right in the city center, but honestly, you wouldn’t want to be once you see this place. It offers the best of both worlds: tranquility and easy access to town.

We loved everything about the accomodation. The atmosphere is wonderful, in the middle of a forest, calmness, silence, beautiful starry nights, jungle sounds. The lodge has everything you need, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, good wifi, everything is clean. It is very close, about a 20 minutes drive to Volcanoes National Park. I highly recommend to stay here if you visit Big Island. The hosts are so kind and helpful they really put their hearts and mind into this little lodge. Kilauea Lodge was everything we love - relaxed, cozy, and incredibly beautiful. Staff were very nice and helpful and the surrounding areas are as magnificent as you would imagine. Highly recommend.
