Staff keep the rooms and communal areas under 24/7 air con so you immediately start to cool down when coming in from the heat. (They don't go in your room and turn off the a/c like many hotels!) I’d never been to a Shangri-La property before but do travel a lot and have seen many five star hotels so I can definitely say that they were amazing here. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and the service level was completely on point as well as the hospitality. I’ve worked with high level hotels for years so I have good reference and would highly recommend this hotel. We were sad to leave and will miss it. I almost didn’t want to post this review to keep it a secret but the staff absolutely deserves 10 STARS 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Muscat International Airport is a 45-minute drive away. Downtown Muscat and Al Alam Palace are a 20-minute drive from the hotel. Car rental can be arranged by the 24-hour staff. Free private parking is available at Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel. Our stay was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for, making it one of the best experiences we've ever had especially with our little baby. The hotel itself is luxurious, and the view of the ocean mountains and palm trees were incredible. The food was outstanding, but what truly made our stay unforgettable was the incredible staff. A special thank you to Ali, who went above and beyond during breakfast with his hospitality and generosity. His kindness made our mornings even more special. We can’t wait to return!
