Nestled amongst peaceful native bushland, Kaka Retreat Motel, Stewart Island offers spacious modern suites with kitchenette, flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. The space was amazing loved the layout. Lovely couch, table and bed space plus outside.

With panoramic views of the Tasman Sea, The Bay Motel overlooks Halfmoon Bay on Stewart Island. It features a nearby golf course, a free shuttle service and free private parking on site. the hotel's just a ten-minute walk from the ferry terminal, was incredibly convenient. It made our arrival hassle-free. I must especially commend the warmth and hospitality of the hotel owners. We arrived on the earliest ferry, and they not only sent someone to greet us at the pier but also facilitated our early check-in, sparing us the wait until the official check-in time. The room was impressively clean and even featured a small kitchenette, which proved to be a lifesaver for preparing baby food for my little one. The thoughtful provision of a complimentary baby cot was a pleasant surprise, and the valuable tips and recommendations for exploring the island and dining options were greatly appreciated.
