To be honest we loved pretty much everything about this hotel. The decor, the pool and relaxation room, the restaurant and beach front. You were also given a phone to reach a personal attendant and have a hotspot for the internet. We spent my partners birthday here and the hotel went above and beyond to help celebrate this which I really really appreciated. All around it's an excellent hotel and we'd definitely recommend it and would love to come back.

This is our second visit to Pasikudah but we came just for this amazing resort and we do not regret. It is perfect. Clean, helpful and kind staff and well maintained premises. Food is delicious and everyone is very kind. Thanks to the manager and the resort staff. We would recommend to everyone and visit again.

Maalu Maalu Resort & Spa - Thema Collection is about 225 km from Sigiriya Town. Free parking is available. The hotel welcomes all new guests with flower necklaces and cool fruit drinks. The breakfast buffet options are numerous. We ordered a la carte lunch & dinner, and the food was always exceptional. (Note, the first night we wanted something that they didn’t have but they ordered it for the second night.) The room was ok, but all rooms come with a comfortable balcony to make up for what the room lacks. Also, the bathroom is about the same size as the room. The beach and the ocean are by far the main reason to come here. The warm ocean water is unparalleled and the hotel staff do a wonderful job keeping their section of the beach clean. The pool area is also nice, but we came for the beach and spent most of our time there. The kid space is lacking, but that’s ok as long as you aren’t there when it rains. Lastly, all the staff we encountered were professional. They helped arrange our departure taxi which actually was rather reasonably priced; meaning same price everyone seems to charge tourists 200 rupees per kilometer (rather than what locals pay which is like 120-150). Overall, I highly recommend staying here.

It is very well maintained. You have a lot of privacy. It is very calm, the host & the whole staff is very lovely & helpful. The dinner and breakfast was always very delicous. They helped us with everything we needed. We had an amazing time & enjoyed the conversations with everyone there.

Each room also includes a private terrace or veranda with comfortable furniture. The staff were wonderfully attentive and friendly. The food was excellent, with a special mention to the chef Manoj who created beautifully presented, freshly cooked and most importantly delicious food. He catered each meal to our specific requests and dietary needs. It is a wonderful property to stay and relax. It’s worth noting that there’s nothing to walk out to and the town is a bit of a distance, but you will have a lovely time staying and relaxing at this hotel. The beach itself is stunning, the water is calm, clean and warm and its is fringed by palms. Paradise
