The property was built in 2021 and has air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony. There is free private parking and the property features paid airport shuttle service. VERY well maintained property, gorgeous gardens, lovely pools, and the accommodations were spectacular. The food was delicious and lots of choice. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and accommodating.

Situated in Arugam Bay, a few steps from Whisky Point, Whisky Point Resort features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a private beach area and a terrace. This is by far the best accommodation we’ve been to in Sri Lanka. Even though some people avoid this area during February as it’s considered low season, we had the best experience. It was quiet, sunny and relaxing. Anna and Nicolo are the best hosts and help out with whatever you need; surfing, safari, transport, etc. Their restaurant has delicious traditional pizza, pasta and more. Besides that, we saw a whole range of wildlife in the area, including free roaming elephants and crocodiles. After 3 nights I decided to extend my stay in Sri Lanka and come back for another full week at Whisky Point. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience!

Excellent location - 20 meters to the beach, the Main Street with all caffès and shops. 15 min driving to Peanut Farm - the starting point for beginners in surfing. Banana Cafe is just next to the hotel and has very nice food and drinks. Mohammed is very friendly, he gave us delicious cakes, arranged surfing classes for us, always helped us with everything we need. Other staff were also very helpful. The room was clean, has good AC, the bed was comfy. We really enjoyed staying at Lucky Bay.

Our whole stay at Blue Water was perfect, the cabanas are cute, clean and spacious for couples. We couldn’t fault anything. We stayed for my 40th birthday and the team decorated our room, what a lovely surprise on entry. Although there is no air conditioning, the fans in the room are sufficient and the cabanas are designed well with openings for a breeze. Rinos is amazing, he was so attentive and looked after all of our needs. He’s really friendly, a pleasure to meet and an excellent chef. Sudha and Dinosan are both phenomenal, they make sure the whole area around the cabanas are pristine, they take so much pride and leave patterns in the sand for guests. There is a good variety of food, the fresh juices are so tasty. We had breakfast and dinner most days and Rinos catered for our tastes. The beach is private and only a few steps away, most days we were the only ones there, it is paradise. At night we fell asleep to the sound of the waves. Thank you Blue Water you made our stay unforgettable.

Iqbal and his staff were so warm and welcoming! They went above and beyond making sure I felt comfortable and enjoyed my stay! I was welcomed with delicious pineapple juice and a pastry. I ended extending my stay because it was such a warm and cozy place to spend a few days at the beach. Beach access is a few meters away. Iqbal also arranged surf lessons to peanut farm and I couldn’t recommend them enough! Best surf coach I’ve ever had! The room was very clean and spacious with hangers for wet clothes and storage. The hammocks outside each room are a very nice touch and relaxing. Each morning, the breakfast was very good and tasty! Lots of fresh fruit! Whatever you need, Iqbal and his team will take care of. Had a lot of nice chats with Iqbal. He will be missed! Wish I could stay for longer. Will definitely be back to this cozy piece of paradise.

The staff and the owners were extremely helpful, always going the extra mile to make sure my stay was as enjoyable as possible. The location is great, close enough for a short walk to the surf spot but far enough that you don't get caught up in the loud nightlife. The room was big, clean and modern and the bed was super comfortable. I wish I could have stayed longer. Highly recommended and I'll be coming back for sure!

The place is very clean, quiet and has a small outdoor kitchen. The fans work well and our bathroom was modern! Also a special acknowledgement has to go to the stunning, well-maintained garden. Absolutely stunning and very relaxing atmosphere. Furthermore, we got delicious breakfast every day which always hit the spot after a sunrise surf! Tharindu changed the breakfast every day from a traditional sri lanka breakfast to poached eggs with avocado toast with a delicious fruit bowl. Overall, Starfish Cabana is a hidden gem in Arugam Bay and if you are looking for a place to stay, look no further. Thank you for the wonderful stay! We will be back :)
