There's nothing much to do around Aomori itself but I loved my 3 night staycation at the Dormy Inn. The spa facilities are well maintained and top notch. The reviews from other folks are true around food and freebies. Yes it's further away from the Aomori station but if you are coming from the airport, just take an airport limousine bus and get dropped off at Kencho-dori bus stop, right by the hotel! Going back is just right across the other side! Super convenient!

The staff are the highlight - they are all really polite and friendly. There are also two friendly dogs! This hotel employs young staff with varying abilities - all of whom were very attentive. This is a hotel worth supporting, and after staying here I feel like part of the family!
