The owner is an incredibly sweet and friendly guy and he made sure our stay would be as good as possible. The room I booked is a tatami room, with futon beds. The futons and the pillows were very comfortable. We also had access to a terrace. The bathroom and shower were great. Probably the first hotel where I had an actual overhead shower (there's an ability to switch between the handheld shower and the overhead one) The breakfast is one they make themselves, with vegetables sourced from his garden and homemade bread. It is incredible. As far as my stay in Kanazawa staying here was honestly the highlight. I got my accomodation relatively cheap, but whatever is being asked is worth it for the incredible owner, the authentic Japanese rooms and the amazing breakfast. Everything that's done in this hotel is full of heart.

This was truly the best accomodation we have ever stayed in and for sure the best during our 3 weeks travel across Japan. The accomodation basically consists of a two floored house (so much space is so rare in Japan), with a beautiful modern bathroom on ground level including a bathtube facing out to a wonderful zen garden. The main rooms are on the first floor with a massive living room, a tatami room and a bedroom with the biggest and most comfortable bed. All rooms were spotless clean, bathrobes and pyjamas were offered. The bedroom view and balcony to the zen garden outside created a lovely and relaxing atmosphere. One of the best things definitely was the breakfast which is provided in an extra breakfast room downstairs at the café (which you cannot here from the flat) - not only is the room beautiful and very special but the breakfast itself was absolutely delicious: every day different sorts of freshly baked bread, incredibel pastries (so pretty!), fresh fruit and vegetables created in the most delicious and delicate way. We couldnt have asked or wished for more. On top of all this is Ryoko as lovely, welcoming and very thoughtful and caring host (pick up service from the train station, extra blankets unasked when the weather turned colder). This accomodation made our trip to Kanazawa extra special and unforgettable!

Free WiFi is available and private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. Absolutely beautiful apartment with so much space. After 2 weeks in hotelrooms, it was so nice to have that much space. Bedroom with a lounge area, separate kitchen and bathroom area. Tv has netflix and was easy to set up. Bathroom is spacious and has the dryer setting in the wet area for your clothes. The beds were one of the best we've had. Not soft, futon isn't soft, but it supports very well and I personally loved the pillows with the buckwheathulls. The hotel is located near the main station, but it's tucked away in a quiet street.
