Location is perfect — calm but still central enough to get anywhere easily. Kitchen was useful, and the common space made it easy to connect with other travelers.

We had the chance to share cars for the Bromo walking tour and for the Tumpak Sewu waterfall and could cut the cost and have a good time with fellow travellers. Rani and Oussama offer solutions for most of your travelling problems: transportation to Maison Manendra from Malang, Bromo Tour without other people around you, tour to Tumpak Sewu with a fantastic guide, taxi to Surabaya... and many more. Rani and Oussama travel a lot in and out of Indonesia and are well aware of what you need during your Java trip. If you are looking for luxury, it is not the place for you. As for myself, I got far more than I expected. Merci Rani et Oussama, c'était absolument super!

The owner was so kind, helpful and arranged everything for us to go hike mt ljen. He provided us with medical certificates (which we didn’t know we needed), gave us free gas masks and even arranged for one of his friends to buy us the tickets when we arrived at mt ljen. Room was very clean, comfortable and AC worked great. Very cool location that has way more of a local feel!
